British author Hilary Mantel initially studied law at LSU and then concentrated on her writing career after moving to Botswana with her geologist husband. Her Booker Prize-winning novels, Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies, later catapulted her to fame. She divorced and remarried her husband later.

Kamla is Trinidad and Tobago's first female prime minister, leader of the opposition, and attorney general. In 2011, she was named the world's 13th most influential female leader by Time magazine.

Eilish O Carroll is perhaps best known for playing Hillary Nicholson and Winnie McGoogan in Mrs. Brown's Boys and is the sister of Irish actor Brendan O'Carroll, who played the lead in the sitcom. She is also known for her autobiographical one-woman stage performance Live Love Laugh.

Author Diana Gabaldon, daughter of Arizona senator Tony Gabaldon, is best known for her Outlander novel series, which has also been adapted into a TV series. Gabaldon has also authored the Lord John series. She is known for mingling several genres, including historical fiction, mystery, science fiction, and romance.
