Rise to Fame
  • Bella Blu’s initial fame came through her sister Asia, who first appeared on TV in a season two episode of Lifetime’s reality series ‘Dance Moms’ along with their mother, Kristie. Asia would later be featured in other reality shows, including ‘Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition’ and ‘Hell’s Kitchen’. In 2015, she made her acting debut in the family drama film ‘Sister Code’. She subsequently portrayed Sydney Simpson, the daughter of O. J. Simpson in FX’s anthology true crime television series ‘American Crime Story’ (2015-16) and a character named Jasmine in ABC’s long-running medical drama ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ (2016).
  • In 2014, the Ray family secured their own reality television series that would serve as a spinoff of ‘Dance Moms’. While the show was supposed to focus on Asia, the rest of her family was featured in it as well. Titled ‘Raising Asia’, the show premiered on Lifetime on July 29, 2014. It not only documented the trials and tribulations of Asia’s life but also that of Bella Blu. Bella has been practising gymnastics since she was a child. She was also interested in singing and her favourite singer was Beyoncé. She later took up dancing as well. ‘Raising Asia’ was eventually not renewed for a second season and its final episode aired on 9 September 2014.
  • Bella Blu set up her YouTube channel in December 2016 and the oldest video there was posted in August 2017. Since then, her channel has grown and she currently has thousands of subscribers and an impressive number of total views.
