Maggie Siff is best known as Tara Knowles from Sons of Anarchy and Rachel Katz from Mad Men. She was also part of the film The 5th Wave and the series Billions. She has promoted Betterment, a robo-advising service, and was part of the podcast You Must Remember This.

Margaret Hoover, the great-granddaughter of former American president Herbert Hoover, is best known as the host of the PBS show Firing Line. The conservative political commentator has also written a book. She supports LGBT rights and is on the boards of several institutions, such as the Hoover Institution.

Nettie Stevens was an American geneticist. She is credited with discovering sex chromosomes which later came to be known as the X and Y chromosomes. In 1994, Nettie Stevens was inducted into the National Women's Hall of Fame.

American historian Drew Gilpin Faust made headlines when she became the first woman President of Harvard University. She was also the first Harvard president since the 17th century who didn’t have a degree from Harvard. She has also penned books such as Southern Stories and Mothers of Invention.

Fatima Siad is a Somali-American model best known for her appearance on the tenth cycle of the popular reality television series, America's Next Top Model where she finished third. Over the years, Fatima Siad has been featured in popular magazines, such as Cosmopolitan, Vogue, and Elle. She has also walked the runways for designers like Ralph Lauren and Giorgio Armani.

Renata Adler is an author, journalist, and film critic who has been a staff writer-reporter for The New Yorker. She studied comparative literature at Harvard University and later received a J.D. from Yale Law School. Despite not being much knowledgeable about films, she became a film critic for The New York Times. She has also written many books. 

Emily Greene Balch was an American sociologist, economist, and pacifist. She is best remembered for her work to deal with social issues like child labor, poverty, and immigration. She also worked towards reducing juvenile delinquency and uplifting poor immigrants. In 1946, Emily Greene Balch was honored with the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize.

Born to an affluent Hungarian businessman and piano teacher, Agi Jambor was a piano prodigy. Married to physicist and pianist Imre Patai, she later joined the Resistance against the Nazis, decked up as a sex worker under the alias Maryushka. After moving to the US, she taught at the Bryn Mawr College.

Apart from teaching at the ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science, Australian anthropologist Genevieve Bell has also had an 18-year stint at Silicon Valley as an Intel Fellow. The Stanford alumna is also a TED speaker and has been named an Officer of the Order of Australia.
