Joel Edgerton is an Australian actor and filmmaker best known for his work in ‘Zero Dark Thirty.’ He is considered one of the best Australian actors ever to work in Hollywood. Hailing from an ordinary family in New South Wales, the actor harbored big dreams from a young age. He decided to become an actor as a teenager and proceeded to study at Nepean Drama School at the University of Western Sydney to formally hone his acting skills. Joel initially started acting in short films at the age of 22. For several years, he struggled to make his mark in his chosen field but was unable to do so. Eventually, he started writing scripts for short films and started gaining recognition. His career as an actor received a massive boost after he played Owen Lars in the movie ‘Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones.’ He continued working hard over the ensuing years and was finally able to establish himself as a successful actor cum filmmaker in Hollywood.
