Adam Lamberg Biography

(Actor)

Birthday: September 14, 1984 (Virgo)

Born In: New York, New York, United States

Adam Lamberg is an American former child actor, known for little else besides playing ‘David "Gordo" Gordon’ in ‘Lizzie McGuire,’ ‘Disney Channel’s popular TV series for kids, in the early 2000s. He reprised his character in ‘The Lizzie McGuire Movie,’ where he eventually scored the girl of the show, to the delight of many young fans. The floppy-haired actor became an on-screen crush for legions of teenage female fans. He portrayed the “best friend,” hopelessly in love with the main protagonist of the franchise. “Gordo” was the smart, nerdy, and sarcastic voice of reason that completed the triad of friends with ‘Lizzie’ and ‘Miranda.’ While actor and singer Hilary Duff, who played the title character, has become a famous pop star and actor, Lamberg has fallen into self-imposed anonymity since 2008. Apparently, he is now pretty much unrecognizable to many fans of the show. Though he has more or less stayed out of the limelight since the release of the film, he did appear in a few other shows, shorts, and indie films, before calling it quits. In the mid-2010s, ‘Google’ was reportedly auto-correcting his name to that of singer Adam Lambert, who has recently collaborated with the rock band ‘Queen.’

Career
Lamberg’s acting career spanned from 1996 till 2008. It began with an audition for an ‘American Express’ commercial when he was just 7 years old. Once he was given the nod for the part, he got addicted to acting.
Later, in 1996, he earned the role of ‘Stewie Goodman’ in the telefilm ‘Radiant City.’ He also appeared in an episode of the miniseries ‘Dead Man’s Walk.’ He was also part of Herb Gardner’s comedy ‘I’m Not Rappaport.’
He appeared as Thomas “Tad” Lincoln, the fourth and the youngest son of Abraham Lincoln, in the 1998 made-for-TV film ‘The Day Lincoln Was Shot.’
Following this, he appeared as ‘Mike Bromback’ in ‘The Pirates of Central Park’ (2001). He was also seen in the indie film ‘Lonesome.’ He had a small part in the comedy ‘Max Keeble’s Big Move.’
2001 was also the year when he earned the signature role of his career as a child actor. He was cast as ‘David “Gordo” Gordon’ in ‘Disney’s original series ‘Lizzie McGuire’ (2001–2004), opposite Hilary Duff in the titular role, Lalaine Vergara as his other best friend, and Jake Thomas as ‘Lizzie’s little brother, ‘Matt.’
He also played the same character in the franchise-concluding film ‘The Lizzie McGuire Movie’ (2003).
Once the ‘Lizzie McGuire’ story was done, Lamberg pretty much disappeared from TV screens, only to resurface in two films over the next 4 years. He appeared as an autistic Jewish man named ‘Lionel’ in ‘When Do We Eat?’ (2005) and as the young ‘Reggie,’ head over heels in love with a high-school girl, in ‘Beautiful Loser’ (2008).
Personal Life
He dated singer Jessica Bridgeman between 2005 and 2008. He has never disclosed any details of the relationship or the reasons behind their break-up.
He was a junior at the ‘University of California, Berkeley’ (‘UC Berkeley’) in 2005 and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in geography the same year his last-ever film released.
He went on to obtain a master’s degree in public administration from New York City's ‘Baruch College.’ According to his ‘LinkedIn’ profile, he had joined the ‘Irish Arts Center’ (IAC) in New York City as an assistant event coordinator in July 2012.
He seems to have done well with his employers and went on to become a development associate. By June 2015, he was a development officer at the ‘IAC.’
Talking about his decision to go to college despite being the star of a hit TV series, Lamberg once said, "It's supposed to be the best four years of your life. I wanted to get back into the social environment. I get bored pretty easily and I don't want to get locked down in one profession."
Since joining the ‘IAC,’ Adam has maintained significant social-media presence, including an ‘Instagram’ account, an active ‘Twitter’ handle, and a ‘Tumblr’ blog that went live in January 2014. He interacts with fans through social media and answers their concerns about his whereabouts and life after his career in the entertainment industry.
He seems to be socially aware and often “tweets” against mass consumerism. He also posts inspirational quotes. There are images of him having a good time at the ‘IAC’ dancing festival and of him posing with his team around late-night show host Jimmy Fallon.
