Lee Radziwill was an American interior decorator and public-relations executive. The younger sister of Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy, Radziwill was a well-known socialite and often featured in lists, such as The Guardian's 50 best-dressed people over 50. Despite an unsuccessful attempt to forge an acting career, Radziwill managed to hog the limelight due to her fashion sense.




Designer and TV personality Kevin McCloud has soared to fame with the series Grand Designs. A Cambridge architecture alumnus, McCloud is a specialist in renovations. He also won an MBE for his sustainable designs. He has also penned designing books, such as Kevin McCloud's Decorating Book.
















Widely remembered as the co-inventor of Dadaism and a pioneering figure of Constructivism, Marcel Janco was a Romanian-Israeli visual artist and architect. He is also said to have contributed to the "bishop dress" characteristic of Dadaism. He also established the Israeli art colony Ein Hod and founded the avant-garde magazine Contimporanul.

Prominent Finnish architect and designer Aino Aalto considered a pioneer of Scandinavian design, co-founded Artek design company with her architect husband, Alvar Aalto and others. She served as its first creative director and collaborated on most of its famous designs. It has been discovered that work of the Viipuri Library, which typifies 1920s functionalist architectural design, was completed by her.








François de Cuvilliés was a Bavarian architect and decorative designer. He played a key role in bringing the Rococo style to the House of Wittelsbach and to Central Europe. He designed several important buildings, such as The Old Residence Theatre which he constructed for Elector Max III Joseph. François de Cuvilliés also wrote many treatises on decorative and artistic subjects.


Charles Percier introduced what is now known as the Empire style of interior decoration, along with Pierre Fontaine, whom he met while studying architecture in Paris. The Prix de Rome winner often blended Greco-Roman and Egyptian styles of architecture and co-designed much of the Louvre and the Tuileries Palace.
