One of rock and roll’s greatest songwriters and performers of all time, Neil Young has worked both solo as well with bands like Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. The Grammy award winning musician’s notable albums include After the Gold Rush, Harvest, Harvest Moon and Ragged Glory. He strongly backs environmental and disability issues too.

American singer, songwriter and vocalist, Glen Frey was the co-founder of the extremely famous rock band of the 1970s—Eagles. The band delivered hit albums like Hotel California before disbanding after a decade. The six time Grammy award winner then enjoyed a successful solo career with hit songs like Smuggler’s Blues and The Heat Is On before re-joining his band.

Red Hot Chili Peppers co-founder and vocalist Anthony Kiedis released 11 rock albums with his band, focusing on issues such as sex, drugs, and loss. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has struggled with drug issues but has been drug-free since 2000. His memoir, Scar Tissue, became a bestseller.

Joni Mitchell is one of the most popular Canadian singer-songwriters. Widely regarded as one of the greatest songwriters of all time, her songs reflect her feelings about joy, romance, disillusionment, and confusion. Apart from being a musician, Joni is also a visual artist who designs most of her album covers. In fact, she calls herself a painter derailed by circumstance.  

Gavin Rossdale is a British singer-songwriter. He is credited with co-founding the popular rock band Bush. In 2013, he was honored with the Ivor Novello Award for his contribution to music. Although he identifies himself as heterosexual, Gavin Rossdale admitted to having a liaison with Marilyn and called it experimentation and part of growing up.

Initially known as Herman in the beat, rock, and pop group Herman’s Hermits, English musician Peter Noone later gained fame as a solo singer-songwriter, pianist, and guitarist. Known for tracks such as Oh! You Pretty Things and his signature crooked teeth, he later led the group the Tremblers, too.

Jeff Scott Soto is a rock singer of Puerto Rican descent residing in USA. He is known for being the vocalist on Swedish musician Yngwie Malmsteen's first two albums. He has also been associated with the bands Journey and Eyes. He is a solo artist as well and often performs with his own band SOTO.  

Born to Irish musician Robert Strong, Andrew Strong, too, proved himself as a talented singer. He was in his teens when he secured a BAFTA and a Grammy nomination for his role and his vocals in the musical comedy-drama The Commitments. He has also been part of The Bone Yard Boys.

John Williamson is an Australian folk and country music singer-songwriter. A multi-talented individual, JOHN Williamson is also known for his skills as a multi-instrumentalist, conservationist, and television host. One of the most respected musicians in Australia, Williamson has released more than 50 albums and has won several awards. In 2010, he was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame.

Antonio Flores was a Spanish actor and singer-songwriter. He is best remembered for his pop rock style and his songs cover a wide range of genres. As an actor, Flores is known for starring alongside American actress Sharon Stone in the 1989 Spanish drama film Blood and Sand. At age 33, Flores committed suicide two weeks after his mother's demise.

Bora Đorđević is a Serbian singer, poet, and songwriter. He is best known for his association with the popular rock band Riblja Čorba, where he performs as the frontman. Renowned for his husky baritone voice, Bora Đorđević is widely regarded as one of the most influential songwriters of the Yugoslav and Serbian rock scene.

Dorde Marjanovic was a Serbian singer best remembered for his theatrical on-stage performance. Widely regarded as the first superstar of Yugoslavia's popular music scene, Marjanović also achieved immense popularity in the Soviet Union. Over the course of his illustrious career, Dorde Marjanovic was honored with several prestigious awards including the Slavianski Bazaar Lifetime Achievement Award. 

Soviet Russian singer-songwriter and film-actor Igor Talkov is best-known for releasing popular songs like Clean Ponds and Summer Rain. While several of his songs were about love and fate, many also included lyrics containing political message criticising the Soviet regime. He also starred in the films Tsar Ivan the Terrible and Behind the Last Line. He was murdered in 1991.

Part of the Canadian rock band Sloan, Chris Murphy is not just the band’s main bassist, but also fills in for the drums or the guitar occasionally. In 2021, he revealed on Instagram that he had been diagnosed with Bell’s palsy, an ailment that causes partial paralysis of the face.
