Tito Jackson was an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He was best known for playing in the pop band The Jackson 5 (later renamed The Jacksons), which first garnered attention in the late 1960s. He was also known for performing as a solo artist with the Epic and Motown labels. Born to amateur musicians Katherine Esther and Joseph Walter, Tito Jackson began playing the guitar at the age of ten. He soon formed a singing group with his siblings Jackie and Jermaine. Soon, his younger brothers, Michael and Marlon, joined and their group ‘The Jackson 5’ started participating in talent shows, eventually achieving significant success during the 1960s and 1970s. In 2003, Tito Jackson embarked on his solo career, performing as a blues musician in several clubs. At the age of 18, he married Delores "Dee Dee" Martes. The couple had three sons who also went on to become musicians. They divorced in 1988.
