Shanina Shaik is a model and actress from Australia. After establishing herself as one of the foremost supermodels of her country, she has recently ventured into acting. A Melbourne native, Shaik began her career as a model when she was eight years old. She later took a break to enrol in an accelerated program for a high school diploma. At the age of 15, she returned to modelling by participating in the Girlfriend Model Competition. Two years later, she took part in the reality show ‘Make Me a Supermodel’ and came second. Shaik made her first appearance in the international fashion scene during the Autumn/Winter 2009 season. In the ensuing years, she has worked for various multinational brands, appeared in numerous magazines, and walked on the ramp in several cities. At present, she is represented by Traffic Models in Barcelona, MIKAs in Stockholm, and IMG Models in other parts of the world. In 2017, she made her acting debut in the fantasy action-horror film ‘The Mummy’.

Shanina Shaik made her debut in the international fashion scene in the Autumn/Winter 2009 season. She appeared on the ramp of eight shows in New York City. She was the first model to walk at a Yeohlee Teng fashion show and appeared on the ramp for other designers like Shipley & Halmos, Abaete, Mara Hoffman, Lorick, Project Runway, Trovata, and Richie Rich. In the second season, she earned a show card for the Spring/Summer 2010. She then appeared on the runway for designers, such as Betsey Johnson, Nary Manivong, Rachel Antonoff, Catherine Malandrino, Gerlan Jeans, and Susan Woo. In the Autumn/Winter 2010 season, Shaik appeared on the ramp for Bebe by Kardashian, Emu Australia, Iodice, and Project Runway.
Shaik has been featured in catalogues for Macy's, Alloy, Avon, Intermix, Urban Outfitters, Lovable, Burda Style, Spiegel, Free People, Bloomingdales, J. C. Family & Personal Life
Shanina Shaik was born on February 11, 1991, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, to Kim and Hanif. She has a brother named Shay. While her father is a Pakistani, her mother is an Australian of Lithuanian descent.
At the age of eight, she began modelling for Myer and later was featured in a Hyundai commercial. She took a hiatus from modelling when she began attending high school and enrolled in an accelerated program, which allowed her to earn her diploma a year before her classmates. When she was 15 years old, she took part in the Girlfriend Model Competition. Although the agents showed interest in her, her age prohibited her from relocating to Sydney. Shaik then joined the Seven Network reality competition series ‘Make Me Supermodel’ (2008), where she was named the runner-up.
She grew up in a Muslim family and had a regular childhood. According to her, her father is “very open to my job and understanding and he is grateful for the woman I have become.” She began dating Gregory “DJ Ruckus” Andrews in early 2015. They became engaged in December. On April 28, 2018, the couple exchanged wedding vows. They parted ways in June 2019, and about a month later, Shaik approached the court seeking a divorce from Andrews.
