Kenny Johnson is an American actor, model and producer. He is known for appearing in a number of television projects including ‘The Shield’, ‘Pensacola: Wings of Gold’, ‘Sons of Anarchy’, ‘Bates Motel’, ‘Saving Grace’ and ‘Prime Suspect’. He is also popular for portraying the character of Dominic Luca in CBS’ drama ‘S.W.A.T.’ Born in New Haven, Connecticut, Johnson grew up on a farm in Vermont. He enrolled at Central Connecticut State University for his higher education. While at the university, he also sharpened his basketball and football skills. He kicked off his career with modelling and modelled for about four years before starting his acting career through television commercials. Since then, Johnson’s career has only flourished and he is currently in great demand in Hollywood. He has been married to actress Cathleen Oveson since 2005. Besides acting, Johnson enjoys arm wrestling.

  • Kenny Johnson began his acting career by appearing in commercials for companies like LA Gear. In 1990, he made his movie debut as Dave in the drama movie ‘The Forbidden Dance’.
  • In 1992, he featured in two episodes of ‘Red Shoe Diaries’. In the ensuing years, he had roles in several TV shows including ‘Family Matters’, ‘Grace Under Fire’, ‘Pacific Blue’, ‘Caroline in the City’ and ‘Sliders’, to name a few.
  • From 1998 to 2000, the actor starred as Butch Barnes in the action-adventure series ‘Pensacola: Wings of Gold.’ During this time, he also did the super-hero film ‘Blade’.
  • He had a role in the thriller film ‘Zzyzx’ which released in 2006. That year, Johnson also appeared in the police drama ‘Cold Case’.
  • He joined the team of the series ‘Saving Grace’ as ‘Detective Ham Dewey’. From 2009 to 2011, he starred as Herman Kozik in the crime tragedy drama ‘Sons of Anarchy’ and also starred and co-produced the film ‘Few Options’ during this time.
  • In 2011, the actor started playing Matt Webb in the series ‘Prime Suspect’. From 2014 to 2017, he had roles in the sitcoms ‘Chicago Fire’, ‘Bates Motel’, ‘Covert Affairs’ and ‘Secrets and Lies’.
  • In the mid-2010s, Johnson played David Raymond in ‘Solace,’ a mystery thriller flick about a psychic doctor who works with an FBI agent in search of a serial killer.
