Early Life & Childhood
Jade Jagger was born Jade Jezebel Jagger, on October 21, 1971, in Paris, France, to Mick Jagger and his first wife, Bianca Jagger. Jade led a very comfortable life ever since she was a child. Even though she was a British national and was born in Paris, she spent her early childhood years traveling around the world with her parents. She accompanied her father on many of his national and international tours.
Jade spent a lot of her early childhood years in New York. Owing to her parents’ careers, she was always surrounded by artists. This led her to become interested in artistic pursuits since a tender age.
She did not have a peaceful childhood. Her parents saw very less of each other all year, and Bianca mostly stayed with her mother. Toward the late 1970s, her parents filed for divorce. However, she stayed connected with her father even after her mother won her custody.
Whenever she stayed in New York, she spent a lot of time with Andy Warhol, who was a popular artist and a family friend of the Jaggers. He spent a lot of time in his workshops and took Jade with him on many occasions. This led Jade to develop an interest in art and colors and helped contribute to the artistic side of her personality.
She started working as an artist in her teenage years. With a little help from Andy, she organized several exhibitions of her works. Eventually, she turned to jewelry designing as a career.
She also joined an art history course in Florence, Italy.
