Henning Wehn is a London-based stand-up comedian from Germany. He is known for usually employing common stereotypes about Germans. Henning was born in North Rhine-Westphalia, in Germany. He worked in customer relations, before becoming a comedian. Later he moved to the UK, and began working in the marketing department of Wycombe Wanderers. He soon began performing stand-up comedy, and earned the nickname of ‘German Comedy Ambassador in London’. He appeared on comedy panel shows such as ‘8 Out of 10 Cats’, and also ‘Have I Got News For You’. He was also seen in the ‘Room 101’, for which he earned some criticism and controversy. He was also seen in a romantic comedy film ‘One Night in Bath’ where he played a supporting character named Herman.

Career
Before he began his career as a comedian, Henning Wehn worked as a customer relations executive in Germany. After he moved to the UK in 2002, he started working in the marketing department of Wycombe Wanderers, a professional football club. One day saw an open mic and decided to try comedy. He soon earned a lot of popularity and also earned the nickname ‘German Comedy Ambassador in London’.
He performed his first tour in 2011, which was titled ‘My Struggle’. In 2012 and 2013, he performed his second tour ‘No Surrender’.
Between 2012 and 2014, he appeared in few episodes of ‘8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown’, a British comedy panel show. In 2013, he was also seen in the panel show ‘Have I Got News for You’. The show has earned recognition as one of the best shows in the genre. It had also received the British Comedy Award in 2011, in the ‘Lifetime Achievement Category’. They also received a BAFTA Award in 2016 in the ‘Comedy and Comedy Entertainment Programme category’. He was also seen in the panel show ‘Would I Lie To You?’
In 2014, Henning Wehn was seen in an episode of the comedy series ‘Room 101’, which was based on a radio series of the same name. His appearance was met with criticism and mild controversy. Between 2013 and 2014, he had his third tour titled ‘Henning Knows Bestest’. He performed several other tours over the years, which include ‘Eins Zwei DIY’, in 2015 and 2016, ‘Westphalia is Not an Option’ in 2016 and 2017, and ‘Das Neuen Materialen Nachten’ and ‘Get On With It!’ in 2018.
In 2017, he made his movie debut in the romantic comedy ‘One Night in Bath’. Wehn played one of the supporting characters named Herman. Other actors in the film include Sylvia Syms, Camilla Cleese, Becky Brunning and Russell Kane.
