Born in a small, picturesque German town, Schiffer was only a teenager when she was discovered by an agent. Her rise on the fashion scene was meteoric and within just a couple of years of her first photoshoot fashion houses and fashion magazines were clamouring to have her as their model. Her face launched numerous fashion brands which went on to become big names. Sometimes dubbed as the ‘Ice Queen’ because of her reserved nature, she stands out as a person who held her own and made her voice matter in an industry where women have usually been just considered pretty faces.
