Childhood & Early Life

Caprice Bourret was born on October 24, 1971, in Hacienda Heights, California, to Valerie and Dale Bourret. She was born to an American mother and a Canadian-French father. Her mother was Jewish while her father was a Christian. A few years after she was born, her father left the family, leaving her mother to raise her two daughters, Caprice and her younger sister Tippy.

Her mother was an independent woman who ran her own interior designing business and taught both her daughters to survive independently. In addition, she also loved to dress up, which led Caprice to imitate her mother during her teen years.

She became further more religious during her high school years. At the age of 15, she began attending a shiurim, where classes were being run by rabbis. She attended it as she wanted to have an orthodox Jewish teaching.

By the time she graduated high school she had decided to begin her modelling career. She worked on her physique and ate a minimal diet. She was spotted by a modelling scout from a modelling agency and was asked to contact them. She moved to New York when she turned 18 and began her modelling career.
