She appeared in the Australian-American science fiction television series ‘Farscape’ as ‘Aeryn Sun’ for which she earned much praise. She also portrayed the character of ‘Vala Mal Doran’ in the Canadian-American military science fiction adventure television series ‘Stargate SG-1’ and played the role of ‘Doctor Sabine Lommers’ in ‘Containment’. Apart from her successful television roles, Black has also done several roles in films like ‘Pitch Black’, ‘Queen of the Damned’ and ‘Stargate: Continuum’. Black is extremely popular for her characters in video games like the ‘Dragon Age’ (‘Morrigan’) franchise, ‘Mass Effect’ series (‘Admiral Daro'Xen’ and ‘Matriarch Aethyta’), and the ‘Gears of War 3’ (‘Samantha Byrne’) series.
