Rinke Khanna, born as Rinkle Jatin Khanna, is a former Indian actress. She is the youngest child of India’s first superstar, Rajesh Khanna, and veteran actress, Dimple Kapadia. She is the sister of former actress Twinkle Khanna. Hailing from a family of prominent actors, it was only natural for her to venture into acting as well. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts, Rinke Khanna made her film debut with the 1999 movie ‘Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi.’ The film was a moderate hit and earned her much attention. However, her innings as an actress was short-lived. After just a handful of films, she vanished from the industry, eventually moving out of the country. She married an industrialist and went on to have two children. Currently, the former Indian actress resides in the United Kingdom with her family.

Career
Rinke Khanna made her acting debut in 1999 when she appeared as Khushi in the romantic Hindi film ‘Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi’. Her performance in the film was appreciated and she bagged the Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut for the same. After this, she played Tina in ‘Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hain’ (2000). This comedy movie by Mahesh Manjrekar had Sonali Bendre and Govinda in the lead roles. It was a remake of the 1972 blockbuster Marathi flick ‘Eakta Jeev Sadashiv’ and the Kannada movie ‘Bangaarada Panjara’ released in 1974.
In 2001, Rinke Khanna had a supporting role in the romantic Hindi film ‘Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hain’ alongside Tusshar Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor. That year, the actress also played the role of Heena in the Tamil romantic thriller ‘Majunu’ alongside actor Prashanth. The movie, directed by Ravichandran, and featuring Sonu Sood, Rati Agnihotri and Raghuvaran in pivotal roles performed well at the box office and was later released in Telugu under the same name.
In the year 2002, Rinke Khanna had a minor role in David Dhawan’s ‘Yeh Hai Jalwa’. A year later, she did the movies ‘Pran Jaye Par Shaan Na Jaye’ and ‘Chameli’. The same year, she played wife of Rahul Bose’s character in the musical comedy ‘Jhankaar Beats’.

Rinke Khanna was born on 27 July 1977 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, to superstars of the Indian film industry, Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia. She is the younger sister of actress and writer, Twinkle Khanna, and the sister-in-law of actor Akshay Kumar.
Rinke attended New Era High School, Hyderabad, and later studied communications at the University of Massachusetts before starting her acting career.
Talking about her love life, she was once engaged to actor Uday Chopra. At present, she is married to industrialist, Sameer Saran, who she wed in 2003. The couple currently resides in London. They have two kids including daughter Naomika.

There is a tradition in her maternal family to have the letters ‘LE’ at the end of their names. Her mother’s name is Dimple, her elder sister is named Twinkle, and her aunty is Simple. She was initially named Rinkle. However, she later dropped the ‘L’, thus becoming Rinke.
