Raviv Ullman is an Israeli-American actor and musician best known for his role in the sci-fi comedy series ‘Phil of the Future’. Born in Eilat, Israel, he realized his passion for acting after he played the role of Peter Pan in a stage production in a summer camp. He also developed an interest in music at an early age and learnt to play the trombone. After completing his studies, he started acting in theater before moving on to television and films. The most important work in his career so far has been the lead role in the TV series ‘Phil of the Future’. The series was a success and was nominated for several awards. Ullman has also appeared in several TV movies; he played a supporting role in the biographical drama film ‘Growing Up Brady’. Other TV movies he has appeared in include ‘Pixel Perfect’ and ‘Searching for David’s Heart’. His works on the big screen include ‘The Big Bad Swim’ and ‘The Trouble with Cali’. Childhood & Early Life
Raviv Ullman was born on 24th January 1986 in Eilat, Israel to American parents Laura and Brian Ullman. He also has two younger siblings, Tali and Nadav. His family left for the US when he was one year old.
Ullman developed an intense interest in acting after he portrayed Peter Pan in a summer camp stage production. He learned to play the trombone as well. He graduated from Fairfield Warde High School.

Acting Career
After finishing his studies, Raviv Ullman began his career as a professional stage actor. Some of his early works include ‘The King and I’, ‘Peter Pan’ and ‘The Music Man’. His role in the play ‘A Rosen by Any Other Name’, earned him a Best Actor nomination for the Connecticut’s Critics’ Award.
He made his TV debut with a supporting role in the TV movie ‘Growing Up Brady’ in 2000. In 2002, he played a guest role in an episode of the famous TV series ‘Guiding Light’.
Ullman became known for his portrayal of Phillip Diffy, the lead character of the TV series ‘Phil of the Future’. The sci-fi comedy series, which was created by Tim Maile and Douglas Tuber, aired from 2004 to 2006, covering two seasons. It was nominated for several awards.
In 2004, he played the lead role in the TV series ‘Pixel Perfect’. Directed by Mark A. Z. Dippe, the film starred Ullman as an intelligent teenager, who is trying to save his best friend Samantha’s music band. The film was made on a budget of $4 million. Other TV movies he appeared in include ‘Searching for David’s Heart’ (2004), ‘Totally Suite New Year’sEve’ (2005) and ‘That Guy’ (2006).

His most recent work on television is a guest role in the TV series ‘Broad City’ in 2015. Ullman’s most recent films are ‘Contest’ (2013) and ‘The Other Side’ (2015).
Musical Career
In 2006, Raviv Ullman collaborated with his friends and created the music video ‘Pointy Hat’ under the name of ‘The Webee Boys’. Since its upload to YouTube, it has been viewed over 300,000 times. They also released two other music videos ‘Refrigerator’ and ‘Bop It’.
Along with actor Douglas Smith, Ullman formed a band called ‘Goodbye Ian’; the band’s name was later changed to His Orchestra. They released their debut album ‘Field Guide to the Wilds’in February 2009.
Major Works
‘Phil of the Future,’ a sci-fi comedy series that aired on the Disney Channel from 2004 to 2006, is undoubtedly the most important work in Raviv Ullman’s career. The series revolved around a family from the future whose time machine breaks down, which results in them being trapped in the 21st century. Other actors in the series included Aly Michalka, Amy Bruckner, Craig Anton and Lise Simms. It earned nominations for multiple awards such as the ‘Writers Guild of America’ Award.
Ullman played one of the main roles in the TV series ‘Rita Rocks’. It was created by James Berg and Stan Zimmerman. The series revolved around the story of a hardworking mother and wife. It also starred Nichole Sullivan, Richard Ruccolo, Tisha Campbell Martin and Ian Gomez. The series aired from October 2008 to December 2009.
