Max Casella, born as Maximilian Deitch, is an American actor famous for appearing as Vinnie Delpino on the series ‘Doogie Howser, M.D’, as Julian "Julie" Silver in the drama ‘Vinyl’ and as Benny Fazio in the series ‘The Sopranos’. He is also known for voicing Daxter in the video game series ‘Jak and Daxter’. The actor has acted in numerous films such as 'Newsies', 'Ed Wood', 'Trial and Error', 'The Notorious Bettie Page', 'Blue Jasmine', 'Wild Card', 'Christmas Eve' and 'Wonder Wheel', to name a few. Casella, who is known for his chameleon-like ability to change his appearance for every role, is one of the most sought-after actors of the industry. His acting skills are impeccable just like his voicing skills. The actor was once a nominee of the prestigious Screen Actors Guild Awards and a winner of the Theatre World Award. Career
Max Casella first acted in the 1983 TV series ‘Don’t Look Now’. In 1989, he was cast as Vinnie Delpino in the series ‘Doogie Howser, M.D.’ After this, he did the movie ‘Newsies’. During 1993 and 1994, he voiced Cro in the animated series ‘Cro’. Soon after this, Casella voiced Studd Puppy in the series ‘The Adventures of Hyperman’. From 1996 to 1999, he appeared in the films ‘Sgt. Bilko’, ‘Trial and Error’ and ‘Analyze This’.
The actor then did voice work for the video game ‘The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea’. From 2001 to 2012, Casella was assigned the work of lending his voice to the character of Daxter in the video game series ‘Jak and Daxter series’. During this time, he also appeared in the dramas ‘The Sopranos’, ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent’, ‘The Bronx Is Burning’, ‘Boardwalk Empire’ and ‘The Confession’ as well as in the movies ‘Leatherheads’, ‘Revolutionary Road’ and ‘Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son’.
In the mid-2010s, the American artiste got featured in the flicks ‘The Last of Robin Hood’, ‘Fading Gigolo’, ‘Oldboy’, ‘Wild Card’, ‘Applesauce’ and ‘Christmas Eve’. In 2016, Casella joined the cast of the drama ‘Vinyl’. The following year, he appeared in four episodes of ‘The Detour’.
