Career

Liam Attridge and Kelly are cousins. In 2013, the original members of the group ‘Forever in Your Mind,’ Kelly (as a solo artist), Garcia and Klaasen (as part of the same group) appeared on the season 3 of ‘The X Factor’. They were initially rejected during the boot camp round. However, Simon Cowell, who was on the panel of judges, told them to continue to be part of the show as a pop trio which he named ‘Forever in Your Mind’.

The group was moderately successful in the competition and was eventually eliminated before the final 16. In June 2014, Klassen made his departure from the band to pursue other things. Kelly suggested Attridge as a replacement and he subsequently joined the band.
On March 12, 2015, the group released their debut single ‘Sweet Little Something. Three days later, they also released a second version on which they collaborated with singer and actress Jordyn Jones. The single drew media attention and by November that year, they were signed with Hollywood Records and a holiday-themed song titled ‘Wrapped Up for Christmas’ was released by them in December.
In celebration of the ten-year-anniversary of ‘High School Musical’, Disney Channel aired a special on January 20, 2016. Following this, Forever in Your Mind paid tribute by recording a three-minute medley of songs from the film. They have since created a medley of five songs from five different Disney Channel films (‘Wildside’ from ‘Adventures in Babysitting’, ‘This Is Me’ from ‘Camp Rock’, ‘Cruisin' for a Bruisin'’ from ‘Teen Beach Movie’, ‘Rotten to the Core’ from ‘Descendants’, and ‘Breaking Free’ from ‘High School Musical’). One of these songs later found its way into the 2016 soundtrack Your Favorite Songs from 100 Disney Channel Original Movies.
The group also did covers of Taylor Swift's ‘Wildest Dreams’, the DNCE single ‘Cake by the Ocean’, and Bruno Mars' ‘Uptown Funk’, just to name a few.
In early 2016, the group began working on their debut EP. They released the single ‘Hurricane’ from the EP on April 29, 2016. Written by all three members of the group in collaboration with Doug Rockwell and Dustin Atlas, it had received a Disney Channel premiere three days earlier. A music video for ‘Enough About Me’, another single from the album, was put out on June 30, 2016, by Teen Vogue. The self-titled EP itself was released on July 1, 2016. It contained four songs and despite mainly belonging to the teen-pop subgenre, the EP drew influence from a wide range of musical genres.
On April 28, 2017, they put out a non-album single ‘Smooth’. They started working on their second EP ‘Euphoric’ sometime in late 2017. The lead single ‘Rabbit Hole’ was released on November 13, 2017, and the EP was released on January 12, 2018. It also has four songs.Often regarded as one of the most promising groups of the mid-2010s, the three boys have performed live alongside the likes of Demi Lovato, Fifth Harmony, Jesse McCartney and Bea Miller on 2015 DigiTour. They have also toured and performed with Olivia Holt, Ryland Lynch, and Isac Elliot.
