Leon Thomas III is an American actor, singer, and songwriter. He is also a record producer who has signed a contract with Columbia/Rostrum Records. As an actor, he has appeared in a handful of films, including ‘August Rush’, ‘Rising Stars’, ‘Bad Asses’, and ‘Runaway Island’. Thomas has appeared in a number of television shows as well. These include ‘The Backyardigans’, ‘The Naked Brothers Band’, ‘Figure It Out’, and ‘Robot and Monster’. He appeared in Dan Schneider’s American sitcom ‘Victorious’ as ‘Andre Harris’. Thomas also appeared in Sean Jablonski’s drama television series ‘Satisfaction’ as ‘Mateo’ for six episodes. As a singer, Thomas has released two mixtapes, ‘Metro Hearts’ and ‘V1bes’ as well as two singles, ‘Hello How Are You’ (feat. Wiz Khalifa) and ‘Countdown’ (with Victoria Justice, promotional single). In addition, he has provided background vocals to the soundtrack albums of several TV shows, including ‘iCarly’, ‘Victorious’, and ‘Victorious 3.0’. The multitalented entertainer has also won the 2015 Grammy Award for Best R&B Album (Producer/Writer).

Acting Career
Leon Thomas started his acting journey at a very young age when he joined the Broadway. He was just ten years old when he appeared in the Broadway production of ‘The Lion King’ as ‘Young Simba’ in 2003. A year later he appeared in Tony Kushner's ‘Caroline, or Change’, an original Broadway production, as ‘Jackie Thibodeaux’. Thomas has also appeared in the Broadway production of Alice Walker's ‘The Color Purple’.
His first appearance on television came in 2006 when he appeared as ‘Ty’ in two episodes of the comedy-drama series ‘Just for Kicks’. He later appeared in Nickelodeon’s CGI-animated series ‘The Backyardigans’ as a background singer in the second and third seasons. In 2007, Thomas appeared in Kirsten Sheridan’s drama film ‘August Rush’. He appeared alongside Freddie Highmore, Robin Williams, Terrence Howard, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and Keri Russell in the film, portraying the character of ‘Arthur’. He also performed the song ‘La Bamba’ in the film and won the ‘Best Performance in a Feature Film - Supporting Young Actor (Fantasy or Drama)’ award at the 2008 Young Artist Awards.
Over the next few years, he appeared in a number of television shows, mostly in guest appearances, including ‘Jack's Big Music Show’ as ‘Leon’, ‘Just Jordan’ as ‘Ronnie’, and ‘The Naked Brothers Band’ as Leon Williams. In 2010, he was signed by the makers of Nickelodeon’s sitcom ‘Victorious’ to play the character of ‘Andre Harris’. He was part of the show between 2010 and 2013 and appeared alongside Victoria Justice, Matt Bennett, Elizabeth Gillies, Ariana Grande, Avan Jogia, and Daniella Monet as part of the lead cast. Thomas also appeared in two of the songs, ‘Song 2 You’ and ‘Tell Me That You Love Me’ from the album ‘Victorious: Music from the Hit TV Show’.

Music Career
Leon Thomas seriously started his music career in 2012 when he released his first mixtape ‘Metro Hearts’ which contained popular singles like ‘Forever’, ‘Moving On’, ‘Vibe’, Like Clay’, and ‘Bad’ as well as a cover of Drake’s ‘Take Care’ which featured Ariana Grande. He was later featured in the British girl band Stooshe’s debut studio album ‘London with the Lights On’ in 2013.
He also featured in the collaborative studio album ‘Love, Marriage & Divorce’ by Toni Braxton and Babyface. He was the writer of the popular song ‘I'd Rather Be Broke’ which was performed by Braxton. His contribution to the album won him a Grammy Award.
He later teamed up with Wiz Khalifa and released the single ‘Hello How Are You’ in 2013. In 2014, Thomas released his second mixtape titled ‘V1bes,’ which was fairly successful.
