The Melbourne born recording artist first became popular when she appeared as 'Elsa' in the YouTube series ‘Princess Rap Battle’, which went viral after its release. Katja Glieson started her career as a singer by performing live at various shows. She appeared at OC PRIDE, the annual LGBT pride festival CAPITAL PRIDE, and LA PRIDE in 2014 and performed on the main stages. She then appeared in the first episode of the YouTube rap battle series ‘Princess Rap Battle’. The series was producer by American producer Whitney Avalon. Glieson was featured in the episode ‘Snow White vs. Elsa’ in which she appeared as ‘Elsa,’ rapping with Whitney Avalon, who played ‘Snow White’. The video went viral immediately after its release and to date, it has registered over 177 million views, which is the highest recorded for any music video these two artists are associated with.
Post her ‘Princess Rap Battle’ success, Glieson released several singles including ‘Christmas Medley’ which registered over 27 thousand views on YouTube. She later enjoyed similar kind of response with her next music video on YouTube, ‘One Last Time,’ which was a cover of Ariana Grande’s original track. She then released ‘Look At Us’, ‘Ride The Way’, and ‘Black Widow’ (Iggy Azalea ft. Rita Ora Cover), with each of the videos becoming more popular than the previous one.
On April 28, 2016, she published her music video titled ‘I Would Kill,’ which went on to register over 730 thousand views. With each new music video, Glieson experienced an increase in the number of her fans. On August 12, 2017, she released her next single ‘Come Thru’ featuring King Bach, which garnered one million views within a year.
Apart from being a singer, Glieson has also acted in some television movies as well as appeared in some short videos. She appeared in the television series ‘Terminium City’ as ‘Special Agent Kitty’ between 2013 and 2014. Katja Glieson was born in Melbourne, Australia, on August 19, 1996. She grew up with her four siblings in a middle-class family. As an overweight kid, Glieson had to face a lot of bullying and harassment during her time in elementary and high school. Deeply troubled by the bullying, she turned to music for solace and eventually found her calling. She left her family and homeland to pursue a career in music as well as explore other avenues in the show business. She worked at multiple jobs to earn enough money in order to move to Los Angeles. She often talks about bullying and other issues people face in their daily life in her YouTube vlogs and social media pages.
