Jordan Bratman is an American music producer. He was previously married to singer-songwriter Christina Aguilera. A native of New York City, Bratman was raised in a music-friendly household, with his father being a music producer himself. He started off his career as a musician when he was 16 years old and did internships at several studios in New York. After getting a B.A. degree in business management, he began working as a talent scout and music producer in Louisiana. Bratman and Aguilera met sometime in 2002 and married in 2005. They have one son, Max. They separated in 2010 and the divorce was finalized in 2011. Bratman has been quite successful in his professional life and has worked with the likes of Madonna, Michael Jackson, Boyz II Men, TLC, and Pink. After moving to Los Angeles, California, he created soundtracks for several Universal Picture films, including ‘Bad Boys II’ and ‘Honey’.

Career
When Bratman was 16 years old, he got the first taste of success in his career. He was already active in the music industry and worked as an intern for several record companies in New York. After he graduated from high school, he enrolled at the Tulane University, in New Orleans, Louisiana, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in business management. During this period, he was employed at the American Sector record label and worked with several emerging artists.
Bratman’s knowledge of music and the ability to recognize talent drew the attention of Dallas Austin, a Grammy Award winning record producer, who hired him to run the A&R department of DARP Music in 1999. Under Bratman’s leadership, DARP became a highly successful company and he got the opportunity to work with the likes of Madonna, Michael Jackson, Boyz II Men, TLC, and Pink. After he relocated to Los Angeles, he got a job at UMG Soundtracks, which allowed him to assemble the soundtracks of several films, including ‘Bad Boys II’ and ‘Honey’. In recent years, he has collaborated with Azoff Music Management.

Jordan Bratman was born on June 4, 1977, in South Bronx, New York City, New York, the United States of America, to Jack and Gail Bratman. He has a brother named Josh.
Bratman grew up in a family where artistic aspirations were encouraged. His father, Jack, is a renowned music producer himself. Bratman has always been artistically inclined. He began to learn music when he was still young, and at the age of 16, he started his career and found his initial success that very year.
Christina Aguilera is an American multi-Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, actress, and television personality. Once known as the “Pop Princess”, the success she has earned in her career has made her an icon of her genre. As of 2018, she has sold 75 million albums and singles worldwide and has won five Grammy Awards, one Latin Grammy Award, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Furthermore, she served as one of the coaches on NBC’s singing competition series ‘The Voice’ from 2011 to 2016. In the 2010 backstage musical drama ‘Burlesque’, she starred opposite industry legend, Cher.
Bratman and Aguilera met in 2002, right after she had burst into the music scene. In 2003, they began dating. Bratman was a largely unknown person beyond the music industry. Their relationship had surprised a few people but Aguilera has never dated a fellow celebrity. Her previous boyfriend was dancer Jorge Santos.
Bratman and Aguilera dated for about two years before getting engaged in February 2005. About nine months later, on November 19, 2005, the couple got married at an estate in Napa County, California. Their son, Max, was born on January 12, 2008.
Aguilera married Bratman when she was 24 years old. She stated in an interview that it felt right at the time. They were in love and he represented stability, love, and safety, qualities that she did not experience from the previous male figures in her life. They started off as best friends and gradually became something more. According to Aguilera, Bratman has been an amazing father to their son. However, things began to change after a few years of marriage. She started to feel independent in the relationship. In the fall of 2009, she met Matthew Rutler, an assistant director, on the set of ‘Burlesque’ and developed romantic feelings for him. Bratman and Aguilera opted for a separation in September 2010. She filed for a divorce a month later and asked for joint legal and physical custody of their son. On April 15, 2011, their divorce was finalized, after both parties came to a private settlement and custody deal.
