He initially gained fame on Vine, but moved to other platforms when the video uploading app was shut down. His popularity migrated with him to other platforms when he started creating content for them. Some of his most popular YouTube videos include, ‘Reacting to Funny Video Memes of us W/ Roommates’, ‘Opening a Demon in a Box DYBBUK Box’, ‘Trap House Anthem (Official Music Video)’, and ‘Trying Dollar Store Food With Corey’.   • Jake Webber started his social media career on Vine in 2013. When Vine was at the height of its popularity, Jake started uploading nonsensical, funny and creative skits on it just like many other millennials. His pursuit of fame was soon rewarded by Vine users who loved his content. In no time, he reached the milestone of 100k followers. In 2014, he also became part of ‘MAGCON Next’, which was a meet and greet convention that allowed fans to meet social media celebrities. By 2016, Jake had amassed more than 500k followers on Vine. By the time the app shut down in October 2016, the young Viner had gained more than 825k followers.
  • Vine’s shutdown hit many content creators very hard, and Jake was no exception. But just like other Viners, he did not hesitate from making the switch to YouTube, where he already had a channel since April 3, 2014. However, he did not post any videos there, until it became clear that Vine was nearing its end. Luckily, for him, he had a loyal fan base. His popularity on Instagram, where he has more than 410k followers, also helped him reach out to his fans. Jake’s first YouTube video titled ‘Ghost Pepper Gummy Bear Prank on Sister’ was posted on October 7, 2015. While the video received more than 43k views, there was nothing original about its content.

Videos like ‘Reacting to Photoshopped Pictures of us W/ Roommates’ and ‘Slingshot of Death W/ Sam and Colby’ were instant hits. ‘Reacting to Funny Video Memes of us W/ Roommates’, published on February 28, 2018, became and remains the most popular Jake Webber video with more than 2.7 million views to its credit. ‘Burning the DYBBUK Box (Demon in a Box)’, ‘Rating Funny Video Memes of us W/ Roommates’, ‘I Bought a Demon in a Box (DYBBUK Box)’ are some of his most viewed content, as they have garnered millions of views.
