Encouraged by his brother-in-law, fellow content creator MightyDuck, Skunky uploaded his first Vine in April 2015, titled “How Girls be acting when they get alot of followers!” His clever comedic timing and engaging personality helped him reach the 100,000-follower milestone by October 2015.

Beyond social media, Skunky is also a skateboarder and entrepreneur. He founded his own clothing brand, STUPID, which reflects his bold, streetwear-inspired style. One of his most-watched videos is a mukbang featuring him eating 100 wings with friends, which has surpassed 2.1 million views.

Skunky was born on June 20, 2001, in Riverdale, Georgia. His real name is Joshua Kim. Skunky was born and raised in Clayton County, Georgia. He grew up with his three siblings. He is of Cambodian and Thai descent. Skunky's sister, Elizabeth Kim, is the wife of popular YouTuber and internet persona Desmond English, better known as “Mightyduck.” Skunky is an avid skateboarder, too, and has also posted skateboarding videos on his channel. His favorite dine-out place is 'McDonald's.'
