Douglas Pitt is an American businessman, investor, and philanthropist who is better recognized as the younger brother of renowned Hollywood actor Brad Pitt. Since the early 2000s, he has been working with various charitable organizations in Africa, especially WorldServe International which provides clean water, and is a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Republic of Tanzania. He is the founder of the charity 'Care To Learn' that has funded the emergent health, hunger, and hygiene needs for over a million children in the last decade. He also uses his NFL connections to raise funds for Waterboys.org, which also provides clean water. As a businessman, he had founded ServiceWorld Computer Center, which later merged with TSI Global and is currently part of Pitt Technology Group. He is also the owner of Pitt Development Group, a firm that specializes in the development of medical office space. He is on the Board of Directors of Great Southern Bank.

Douglas Mitchell Pitt was born on November 2, 1966 in St. Louis, Missouri, United States, to Jane Etta, a school counselor, and William Alvin Pitt, manager of the trucking company, Campbell 66, and a realtor. Douglas has an older brother, Brad Pitt, who is a famous actor, and a younger sister, Julie Neal.
He attended Horace Mann Elementary School and graduated from Kickapoo High School in 1985. He later completed his education from Missouri State University in 1990.

Career
In 1991, Douglas Pitt started his business career by founding ServiceWorld Computer Center, which went on to win the 'W. Curtis Strube Small Business of the Year' honor.
In 2007, he sold a 75% interest in ServiceWorld to Miami Nations Enterprises, the Indian Tribe of Miami, Oklahoma, to focus on his philanthropic initiatives, but remained an owner and principal operational partner.
Along with the TSI Global, he formed the company TSI Integrated Services in 2012, in which the Tribe of Miami purchased a controlling interest in May 2013. In 2012, he also formed Nexus Underground (NU), a cloud based service provider, and merged both ServiceWorld and NU into TSI Global in 2013.
In July 2013, he launched an Innovation and Business Incubation Center in owned retail space in conjunction with the Ozark Chamber of Commerce in Ozark, Missouri. He founded Pitt Development Group in 2014 as a specialty development company in medical office space.
He eventually bought back his company from TSI Global in November 2017, following which the entity Pitt Technology Group was formed, consisting of Nexio Technologies, LoVo Integrations and Syndeo Solutions. Since then, the group has acquired the specialty software development company ConceptiCode in 2018 and the audio visual consulting and implementation company AVMAN in 2019.
Philanthropy
In 1995, Douglas Pitt became a board member of the non-profit organization Big Brothers Big Sisters of America in Missouri. He subsequently served on the boards of other charitable organizations such as Make A Wish, Easter Seals, and The Red Cross, and was also the Chairman of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce.
He went on to hunger missions in Budapest and Portugal with Convoy of Hope in the early 2000s and joined WorldServe International in 2005; he later became its board member. He has helped the organization to grow into one of the largest private drilling companies in East Africa and bring clean water to over two million Tanzanians.
His efforts were recognized by Jakaya Kikwete, President of Tanzania, at an event in New York City in July 2010, where he was named the first ever Goodwill Ambassador for the United Republic of Tanzania.
In 2007, at a Springfield Chamber of Commerce meeting, he was "absolutely shocked and truly a little bit embarrassed" after hearing about the poverty and hardship children in his hometown went through. In April 2008, he founded the charity 'Care To Learn' (CTL) with the mission of funding child health, hunger and hygiene needs, and to advocate for children's rights as well.
The charity had already grown to 35 chapters when he stepped down as President of the Board of Directors of CTL in 2017. In April 2019, as CTL completed its 10th anniversary, it also fulfilled the needs of one million children.
Family & Personal Life
Douglas Pitt has been married to Lisa Pitt since 1990, and they have three children together: son Landon and daughters Sydney and Reagan. Douglas is a very private person when it comes to his family, and had once punched a photographer in the face for being too inquisitive.
Trivia
Interestingly, Douglas Pitt has also tried acting a couple of times, most notably portraying 'The Second Most Famous Pitt' for a parody commercial for Virgin Mobile Australia and another time for Mother’s Brewing Company.
An avid bicyclist, he became the first American on record to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and descend on a mountain bike in January 2011.
