Donal Francis Logue is a Canadian-American-Irish actor, producer, director and writer. His works include the American sitcom ‘Grounded for Life’ and the detective series ‘Terriers’. Logue was born in Ottawa, Ontario to Irish parents. He attended Harvard University, where he studied history. However, he was not interested in pursuing a career in that field and ventured into acting instead. He made his film debut in the 1992 film ‘Sneakers’, where he had a supporting role. His first recurring TV role was in the series ‘Medicine Ball’. He became more widely known after he played the lead role in the romantic comedy film ‘The Tao of Steve’. He then gained more popularity for playing a lead role in the TV series ‘Grounded for Life’. Currently, he is playing a lead role in the crime drama series ‘Gotham’. The show has been appreciated by critics and has also received multiple awards and nominations. Other than acting, Logue is also involved in sports. He plays for the Los Angeles-based amateur soccer team Hollywood United.

Donal Francis Logue born on 27th February 1966 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. His parents were Irish missionaries hailing from County Kerry. His father was also the president of Aisling Industries, a company which makes microchips for cellphone companies. He has three sisters named Karina, Deidre and Eileen.
Most of Donal’s childhood and teen years were spent in El Centro, Canada. He studied at the Central Union High School. During his high school years, he was the California State Champion in impromptu speaking. In 1983, he was elected President of the American Legion Boys Nation. After high school, he studied history at Harvard University.

Career
Donal Logue began his career with a supporting role in the 1992 comedy film ‘Sneakers’. Directed by Phil Alden Robinson, the film starred actors, such as Robert Redford, Dan Aykroyd, Ben Kingsley, and River Phoenix. The film was a commercial success and reviews were also positive.
Over the next few years, he appeared in many films, mostly in minor roles. Some of these were ‘Gettysburg’ (1993), ‘Miami Rhapsody’ (1995), ‘Blade’ (1998), ‘Runaway Bride’ (1999) and ‘The Million Dollar Hotel’ (2000).
His first lead role was in the film ‘The Tao of Steve’ (2000), a romantic comedy film, directed by Jenniphr Goodman. The film was received positively by critics. The next year, his popularity grew further when he started playing the lead role in the sitcom ‘Grounded for Life’.

The series was inspired by the saga of Viking Ragnar Lothbrok, a well-known Norse hero who was also notorious for being the scourge of England and France. The show depicted his rise from being a farmer to a king, after he leads successful raids into England. It was met with mostly positive reviews.
Logue plays a major role in the crime drama series ‘Gotham’, which is based on DC Comics Batman franchise. The show started airing in September 2014. Including Logue, the show starred actors, such as Ben McKenzie, David Mazouz and Sean Pertwee. Donal Logue was once said to be married to Kasey Walker. They had two children, Finn and Jade. The couple eventually divorced. According to some other sources, Logue and Walker were never married but were only in a long-term relationship that later ended.
