Charlotte Crosby’s career began on a high note in 2011. She became a founding cast member and breakout star of MTV's flagship programme ‘Geordie Shore’. Little did Crosby know that the show would change the fate of her life for good! Running in its 14th series as of May 2017, it has become the most popular show in the history of MTV UK.
The phenomenal success of ‘Geordie Shore’ made Crosby a household name. Fans and supporters wanted to see more of her. In 2012, she appeared in the MTV Europe Music Awards, presenting the award for Best Male. The following year, along with the cast members of ‘Geordie Shore’, she appeared on ‘The Sarah Millican Television Programme’.
Crosby was one of the contestants in the twelfth season of Channel 5’s highest rated reality TV show, ‘Celebrity Big Brother,’ which started in August 2013. Her blatantly honest personality and no-holds-barred approach to life made her a popular figure on the show. She eventually ended up winning the season, beating runner-up Abz Love.
In addition to her appearances in ‘Geordie Shore’ and ‘Celebrity Big Brother’, Crosby has made guest appearances in several other TV shows as well. She is a regular panellist on ‘This Morning’ and for ITV shows, ‘Celebrity Juice’, ‘The X Factor’ and ‘Britain's Got More Talent’.
She appeared as a recurring guest on UK’s primetime shows such as, ITV2’s ‘Fake Reaction’, BBC3’s ‘Staying In’, Channel 5’s ‘Most Shocking Celebrity Moments’, Channel 4’s ‘50 Funniest Moments’ and ITV2’s ‘Utterly Outrageous TV Moments.’ She is also a regular guest on Irish RTE show ‘The Late Late Show.’
A skilled presenter, Charlotte Crosby has hosted several prominent events including BBC Radio 1’s ‘Teen Awards’. On numerous occasions, she has anchored MTV News as well.
In 2014, Crosby gained her own flagship programme, a reality series titled ‘The Charlotte Crosby Experience’ on TLC UK. The show involved her travelling around the world immersing herself in a wide variety of niche and eccentric foreign cultures.
She not only had to spend time in different extreme cultures but also had to live with some of the world’s most unique communities.
Crosby’s meteoric rise in her career allowed her to expand her wings further as she broke the confinements of television screen to make her foray into other streams. To begin with, in August 2014, Crosby launched her own hugely successful women’s clothing line ‘Nostalgia’ in association with British online fashion retailer ‘In The Style.’ Her line was an instant hit and is adorned by both celebrities and common girls alike. In December 2014, Crosby released her debut fitness DVD ‘Charlotte’s 3 Minute Belly Blitz’ to an overwhelming response. The DVD featuring Richard Callendar of ITV's ‘The Biggest Loser’ fame and weight loss expert David Souter was hugely successful and became UK’s fastest selling fitness DVD of all time! The DVD topped the official sports and fitness chart upon release and peaked at the top of the Official DVD charts. Within a month, it became the sixth best-selling Fitness DVD of the decade.
The tremendous success of Crosby’s debut fitness DVD led her to come up with a second one titled ‘3 Minute Bum Blitz’ in 2015. Replicating the success of its predecessor, ‘3 Minute Bum Blitz’ became the best-selling pre-order fitness DVD even before its release!
The success of Crosby as a fashion entrepreneur and fitness guru allowed her to experiment further, as she tried her hand at writing. Putting her wit and journalistic skills to play, Crosby started her own column in the weekly ‘Star Magazine.’
In July 2015, she released her autobiography ‘ME ME ME’. The book was immensely successful, spending five weeks at the ‘Sunday Times’ Best Seller list at the top spot. She followed it up with her first health and fitness book and her second book overall, ‘Live Fast, Lose Weight: Fat to Fit’. In it, she penned some handy tips and tricks on keeping fit and 80 recipes for a healthy lifestyle
In 2015, Crosby also starred in the second series of the reality show ‘Ex on the Beach’. For the show, she appeared as an ex of fellow ‘Geordie Shore’ cast member Gary Beadle. Later that year, she appeared on the comedy panel game show ‘Through the Keyhole’.
Crosby’s recent outings in television include her own programme on Chart Show TV called ‘Charlotte Crosby's Propa Mint Party,’ where she played a collection of her favourite music videos. She is a regular contributor to the Channel 4 documentary show, ‘A Granny's Guide to the Modern World’. She served as a narrator for Channel 5’s documentary-reality series ‘Tattoo Disasters U.K’. Later, she appeared in season 1 of ‘Celebrity Storage Hunters UK’ as a buyer and in ‘Tipping Point: Lucky Stars.’
Her latest appearances on TV include a guest appearance on the Christmas special of ‘In Bed with Jamie’ on E4. On Christmas Day 2016, she made her radio hosting debut on Heat Radio where she co-presented an afternoon show with Lucie Cave.
