McCann started her career as a hairstylist and colorist. She worked as a stylist for six years, before making her entry into the entertainment industry. In 2013, Ferne McCann was selected as one of the participants of the reality show, ‘The Only Way Is Essex,’ which was aired on the ‘ITV2’ network. She made her debut in the ninth series of the show.
