Although popularly known as Brittney Powell today, she went by the name Brittney Rache in the early 1990s. Her first appearance in media was in the Playboy video ‘Playboy: Girls of Spring Break’ in 1991. She playED herself in the video.
Her natural charisma coupled along with her looks helped her land a role in ‘The Round Trip to Heaven’ in 1992. The film, however, wasn’t a success.
In 1992, she appeared in an episode of ‘Harry and the Hendersons’ titled ‘The Old Bigfoot’. She also guest starred in the TV series ‘2000 Malibu Road’.
She bagged a more substantial role in the American sitcom ‘California Dreams’. She appeared in three episodes and was billed as a recurring character.
She was seen in varying roles in TV series such as ‘Eden’ (1993), ‘Saved by the Bell: The College Years’ (1993), ‘The Commish’ (1994), ‘Saved by the Bell: The New Class’ (1994) and ‘Heaven Help Us’ (1994). She also made a regular appearance in ‘Weird Science’ (1994–1997).
From 1993 to 1994, she played a minor role in several movies. These movies include ‘To be the Best’ (1993), ‘Airbone’ (1993), ‘The Unborn II’ (1994), and ‘Dragonworld’ (1994).
She was seen in a variety of minor and supporting roles in several TV series. More popularly, she is remembered for her appearance in an episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S titled ‘The One with Five Steaks and an Eggplant’, in 1995.
1995 proved to be a busy year in television for Powell. She was seen in ‘High Sierra Search and Rescue’, ‘Marker’, ‘The Jeff Foxworthy Show’, ‘Silk Stalkings’, and ‘High Tide’.
In 1996, she was seen in the movies ‘That Thing You Do’ and ‘Fled’. She also appeared as a guest in the series ‘Renegade’ and ‘The Client’. In the TV series ‘Tarzan: The Epic Adventures’, she appear in two episodes and played the character of Emma.

In the American soap opera ‘Pacific Palisades’ (1997), she was included in the main cast and played the character of Beth Hooper. Her other television appearances from the year include ‘Dark Skies’, ‘Boy Meets World’, and ‘The Sentinel’. She also had a minor role as Liz Shelby in the film ‘L.A. Johns’.
She was next seen in the teen drama series ‘Beverly Hills 90210’ (1999). Her role as Janine Kelly in the adventure series ‘Pensacola: Wings of Gold’ received great reviews as well.
Her credits in television for the year 2000 include ‘Martial Law’, ’18 Wheels of Justice’, ‘Xena: Warrior Princess’ and ‘Titans’.
She played a significant role in the TV series ‘General Hospital’ and her character, Summer Halloway, was seen in 70 episodes over a period ranging from 2002 to 2003.
Her next major role was in 2004 in the series ‘Girlfriends’ where she appeared in two episodes as Natalie Kyle. She also starred as Keely for two episodes of ‘Phil of the Future’, a science fiction sitcom.
In 2005, she acted in ‘NCIS’ and ‘Living with Fran’ appearing in an episode each. Afterwards, she was seen in an episode of ‘Two and a Half Men’ as Clair.
She received a stronger, recurring role as Dr. Randy Minki in the TV series ‘Safety Geeks: SVI’ in 2009. Her role became a hit and she starred in over 11 episodes.
From 2010 to 2014, she was seen in minor roles in ‘The Adventures of Senor Toro’ (2010), ‘Stacy’s Mom’ (2010), ‘Douchebags TV’ (2011), ‘Invention with Brian Forbes’ (2011), ‘Solo’ (2011), ‘The Polterguys’ (2012), and ‘The Devil Inside’ (2012).
She was next seen alongside her partner, Verne Troyer, in the controversial American series, ‘Wife Swap’, as Troyer’s girlfriend, in 2015. She also played herself in ‘From the Mouths of Babes’ from 2013 to 2015.
She got the biggest role of her career in 2018 with the Jennifer Montemar directed movie ‘Trouble is My Business’. She starred opposite Vernon Wells. Apart from acting, Powell is also crediting for writing the script. The movie received critical acclaim and was a jury favorite in many local film festivals.
Her upcoming projects include ‘I May Regret’ and ‘Aaah! Roach!’, and both movies are due to release soon. She plays the leading role in ‘I May Regret’.
