Brittany Nicole Waddell, better known as Britt Nicole, is a singer and songwriter. Nicole first came to fame for her American contemporary Christian music but later she found her way to the mainstream pop music culture. Since 2007, she has delivered four studio albums, ‘Say It’, ‘The Lost Get Found’, ‘Gold’, and ‘Britt Nicole’. She was nominated at the Grammy Awards for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album for her third studio album ‘Gold’. She has also been featured at the top of Billboard’s Hot Christian Albums list. Nicole has delivered numerous hit singles in her music career so far, including ‘All This Time’, ‘Stand’, ‘Gold’, ‘Ready or Not’, and ‘Breakthrough’. She has also seen her singles ‘Headphones’, and ‘The Lost Get Found’ breaking into the top 10 list of leading charts. Nicole’s music and lyrics have always portrayed her spiritual side and the fact that she is a strong believer in God.

Career
Britt Nicole used to accompany her mother to her grandfather’s church when she was a little girl. She began singing in the church choir and later started taking piano lessons. She learnt to play the guitar as well and started writing songs from her teenage days. The experiences of her early life definitely imbued a sense of spirituality in her heart which influenced her musical journey. Nicole embraced contemporary Christian music during the early part of her career. She released her first album titled ‘Follow the Call’ (2003) independently under her birth name Brittany Wadell. In the subsequent year, Nicole signed two contracts, a development deal with Word Records and a management deal with Vertical Entertainment. She released her first self-titled EP in 2004, and in 2006, signed a deal with Sparrow Records.
In 2007, Nicole released her first studio album ‘Say It’. The album bagged a nine-star rating from Cross Rhythms and a five-star rating from the SoulShine Magazine. The album contained some popular songs like ‘You’, ‘Believe’, ‘Set the World on Fire’, and ‘Don't Worry Now.’ It peaked at number 40 on Billboard Christian Albums list as well as reachied number 45 on Billboard Top Heatseekers list.
Her second studio album ‘The Lost Get Found’ was released on August 11, 2009. It had eleven tracks listed. The album peaked at the number one spot on Hot Christian Albums list and also reached number 62 on Billboard 200. The album was a huge hit for Nicole and some of its singles broke into the leading music charts. ‘Walk on the Water’ and ‘Hanging On’ reached number 17 and 19 respectively on Billboard Hot Christian Songs list. ‘The Lost Get Found’ reached number 8 on Billboard Hot Christian Songs list and the single ‘Headphones’ reached the second spot on Cross Rhythms Weekly UK Charts list. Three other singles, ‘Welcome to the Show’, ‘Safe’, and ‘Have Your Way’, also made their way to various music charts. The album received positive ratings and reviews from leading magazines as well music guides, including Allmusic, CCM Magazine, Christian Music Review, Cross Rhythms, and Louder than the Music.
On March 26, 2012, Nicole released her studio album ‘Gold’ which was marketed by Capitol Records. The album contained eleven tracks with an addition of four bonus tracks on iTunes. The album reached the top of Billboard Hot Christian Albums list and number 41 on US Billboard 200. The track, ‘All This Time’, reached the third spot on the US Billboard Christian Songs list. The title song reached number 28 and 16 on US Billboard Pop Songs and US Billboard Christian Songs list, respectively. The album was nominated at the 2013 Grammy Awards for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album.

Personal Life
Brittany Nicole Waddell was born in Salisbury, North Carolina, on August 2, 1985, and was raised along with her brother Bryn Waddell. She has always been spiritually driven and felt that God was telling her to pursue a career in music. Thus, she turned down a scholarship from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, in order to become a singer. She is also a talented dancer and has taken lessons in ballet, jazz, and hip-hop dancing.
Nicole married Joshua Crosby on July 1, 2012. She has two children, a girl, Ella Brave Crosby, and a boy, Adin Jerusalem Crosby, born in 2013 and 2015 respectively.
