Ulla Thorsell Biography

Ulla Thorsell is the third wife of French singer, lyricist, diplomat and public activist, Charles Aznavour. Thorsell has always stayed away from the spotlight and seldom ever speaks in public. The former model appears to have no problem living in the shadow of her famous husband. Speaking about Thorsell’s extremely private nature, Aznavour told newspaper Le Figaro that his wife does not like making public appearances and avoids being photographed. He added that each time they step out together, people hound him while his wife is pushed in a corner. Aznavour met Thorsell through common friends and he was instantly smitten by her in their first meeting itself. Despite having been married thrice, Thorsell said that he considers Thorsell to be the ‘love of his life.’ Aznavour told TV 7 that his first marriage failed because he was too young at that time. He blamed his immature nature for the failure of his second marriage. However, he says that his third marriage is different because marrying a woman from a different culture showed him how to be more tolerant.
