Tziporah Malkah, previously known as Kate Fischer, is an Australian actress, model, and TV personality. Malkah began her modelling career when she was 13 years old after she won a reputed magazine competition. With this title, she didn’t have to look back as several modelling assignments flooded her doorstep and she was seen with big names such as Bloomingdales and Vogue Australia. She decided to venture into acting after a successful modelling career and made her debut with the comedy ‘Sirens’ in 1994. Soon enough, she was seen in a variety of films and TV series. Notables appearances include her roles in ‘Twisted Tales’, ‘What’s Up Doc’, and ‘All Saints’. However, she decided to focus on reality TV in the 2000s and started making appearances in live shows and long-running reality series. Later, she decided to take a backseat from entertainment as she battled depression and body-image issues. However, she made her comeback soon enough when she starred in the 2017 season of ‘I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!’, which propelled her into fame again. Currently, she continues to work as an actress and has turned to activism as well.

Tziporah Malkah found her roots in modelling and show biz at an early age. When she was just 14 years old, she won the Covergirl of the Year competition held by Dolly magazine. With this title, she became a famous name in the fashion circle and many touted her as the next big model in the making. Soon enough, word spread and Malkah was an established model not only in her home town but in Sydney and New York as well. She was featured and photographed by international magazines and brands such as Bloomingdales, Glamor, Mademoiselle, Vogue Australia, and Black and White Magazine. With her modelling career set, she embarked on her career as an actress in 1994.
Tziporah Malkah made her debut with the comedy drama ‘Sirens’, where she starred alongside Elle Macpherson, Sam Neill, and Hugh Grant. The movie was a major hit in Australia. Soon enough, she found other roles and was seen in ‘Book of Dreams’ (1995) and ‘The Munsters’ Scary Little Christmas’ (1996). Subsequently, she made her TV debut with the mystery sci-fi series ‘Twisted Tales’’. While maintaining her career as an actress, she also found fame as a TV personality and was seen ‘E! News’ (1991), ‘What’s Up Doc’ (1993), ‘Burke’s Backyard’ (1994), ‘Full Frontal’ (1995), ‘Time Out for Serious Fun’ (1995), and ‘Mouthing Off’ (1996). Her most famous stint during the 1990s was her role as the host of the Looney Tunes cartoon show ‘What’s Up Doc’.
Towards the end of the 1990s, roles dwindled and Malkah made fewer big-screen appearances. She was seen in the short ‘Five Hundred Acres’ (1997) and later acted in the drama romance ‘Dust Off the Wings’ (1997). In 1998, she was seen in the crime thriller ‘Murder Call’ as Gabby Minogue in the episode titled ‘Bone Dead’. She began the new millennium with an appearance in the documentary ‘Blood Surf’ (2000) and later found a recurring role as Hannah Laughlin in the TV series ‘All Saints’ in 2002. However, Malkah slowly began drifting off from acting and focused on reality TV. Her final large-screen appearances were in the movies ‘The Real Thing’ (2002) and ‘The Foreigner’ (2003). Her modelling career resurfaced in the mid-2000s when she was named the face of AMP Capital Shopping Centers across Australia.
Tziporah Malkah’s career took a hit when she started gaining weight and faced severe depression. She was seen in the reality TV series ‘Celebrity Overhaul’ in 2005, where contestants attempted reaching a desirable level of fitness. She also released a short comedy ‘Supermodel Hotdog’ on YouTube in 2007. She appeared in ‘David Tench Tonight’ (2006) and ‘The 7PM Project’ (2017) while making sporadic appearances in the documentary series ’20 to 1’ from 2006 until 2011.
She made her comeback in 2017 when she joined as a contestant on ‘I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here’. While she was evicted from the series early on, she had made a name of herself and was widely interviewed by the media. Her gradual weight loss also boosted her career. Since then, she has appeared on the TV series ‘Today’ and an episode of ‘Mornings’.

Tziporah Atarah Malkah was born Katherine Helen Fischer on November 30, 1973, in Adelaide, South Australia to Pru Goward and Alastair Fischer. Her mother went on to become a member at New South Wales Legislative Assembly and an eminent politician, while her father is a university professor. She has two younger sisters: Penny Fischer and Alice Barnett. She studied at Canberra Girls' Grammar School and later graduated from Narrabundah College. She was previously in a relationship with the Australian businessman James Packer. Malkah was recently in the news after she lost a whopping 50 kilos.
