Before hitting the headlines of various tabloids in London, Summer Monteys-Fullam was a barmaid who earned her keep at a local pub called, Duke William, in Kent. Prior to this, she also had a brief stint as a bridal model, and her photos graced the pages of many magazines. However, she was not just meant to be working in a bar, and her life completely changed after she met Paul Hollywood, a celebrity chef who is best known for being part of the series, ‘The Great British Bake Off’. In the summer of 2017, when Paul Hollywood visited her bar for a party he was hosting for his wife, he met Summer and embarked on a friendship with her. For her 22nd birthday in November, Paul lent her his chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royce.

In the meantime, Paul Hollywood’s marriage fell apart after he admitted to cheating on his wife of 20 years, Alex, with Marcela Valladolid, his fellow judge on the ‘The Great British Bake Off’. In February 2019, Summer Monteys-Fullam ran into Paul’s ex-wife of 20 years Alex at Marks and Spencer’s, a supermarket in London. They subsequently got into a row after Alex tried to talk to Summer about her children and husband and blamed her for breaking the family. Summer’s nonchalant behavior further enraged Alex, who soon started unfurling abuses of the most degrading sort. They were heard screaming by many other shoppers in the aisle, and Alex hinted that this was not just a coincidental meeting. Many speculate that Alex’s outburst was a result on an Instagram post by Summer wherein she flashed an expensive ring given to her by Paul. In the end, the local authorities were called to sort out the matter and they counselled both parties before escorting Alex back to safety. Earlier, Alex had reportedly expressed her plans to name Summer in her divorce litigation, insisting that Paul had begun seeing her even before they split.
