Childhood & Early Life
Steven Spence was born on March 20, 1988, in Queens, New York City, United States of America. His family moved from Queens, New York City to Fort Lauderdale, Florida when he was still very young. He spent his childhood in Fort Lauderdale.
Steven was exposed to music at a very young age as his uncle, who played the keyboard, was associated with the popular reggae band, ‘The Wailers.’ Steven grew up playing the piano and guitar, and would often turn to his uncle for mentorship and inspiration.
Interestingly, Steven never attended music classes and is largely a self-taught musician. In 2001, he was presented with his first drum kit, which encouraged him to play drums during his free time.
