Steven Ogg is a Canadian actor cum voice actor popularly known for playing the character of ‘Simon’ in the American post-apocalyptic horror television series ‘The Walking Dead’, developed by Frank Darabont. He is also a very well-known face among the gamers having played the role of ‘Trevor Philips’ in the action-adventure video game ‘Grand Theft Auto V’, developed by ‘Rockstar Games’ in 2013. Interested in acting from a young age, he started attending acting classes as a little boy. His interest shifted to sports during his adolescence and he hoped to become a professional sportsman. However, an injury shattered this dream and he eventually tried his luck in several jobs including acting in different theaters. Finally, he made his debut with the role of a fashion photographer named ‘Andre’ in the 1999 film ‘Giving it Up’. He later appeared in several popular television shows including ‘Law & Order’, ‘Third Watch’, ‘Better Call Saul’, and ‘Westworld’ in special roles. The talented actor won the prestigious ‘New York Videogame Critics Circle Award for Best Overall Acting in a Game’ award for his work in the video game ‘Grand Theft Auto V’.

Career
Steven Ogg wanted to become a sportsperson but an injury ruined his childhood dream. He then concentrated more on his acting skills and worked in various theaters over the years. He moved around a lot, living in cities like Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Milan, London, and Paris. When he finally reached New York City, he had very little money and no work permit which led to him contact whoever he knew in order to get into the show business.
After years of struggle, he was finally able to get regular acting roles. Steven Ogg appeared in the television series ‘Law & Order’ as ‘Mark Vee’ , ‘Third Watch’ as ‘Shooter’ (Ep. ‘A Hero's Rest’), ‘Unforgettable’ as ‘Larry Yablonski’ (Ep. ‘Day of the Jackie’), ‘Person of Interest’ as ‘Chuck’ (Ep. ‘Liberty’), ‘Murdoch Mysteries’ as ‘Bat Masterson’ (Ep. ‘Glory Days’), and ‘Better Call Saul’ as ‘Sobchak’ (Ep. ‘Pimento’).
In 2016, he landed his biggest work on television, having signed for the role of ‘Simon’ in the American post-apocalyptic horror television series ‘The Walking Dead’, acting alongside Andrew Lincoln, Jon Bernthal, Sarah Wayne Callies, and Laurie Holden. He later appeared in ‘Westworld’, an American science fiction western thriller television series, playing the character of ‘Rebus’ in four episodes.
He has achieved much success as a voice actor. He voiced the character ‘Trevor Philips’ in ‘Grand Theft Auto V’, the action-adventure video game by ‘Rockstar Games’ in 2013. He was nominated for multiple awards including ‘Spike Video Game Award for Best Voice Actor’, ‘New York Videogame Critics Circle Award for Best Overall Acting in a Game’, and ‘Behind the Voice Actors Award for Best Male Lead Vocal Performance in a Video Game’ for his contribution to the game.
