Sophie Kasaei was born Sophia Zarie Kasaei on November 8, 1989, in South Shields, England. She spent her childhood with her younger brother and the two were raised by their parents.

In 2011, she appeared as herself in the famous reality show, ‘Geordie Shore.’ The show was aired on ‘MTV’ and Sophie was a part of the main cast. She then appeared in a few more episodes, including ‘Magaluf Madness,’ before being replaced by Marnie Simpson in 2013.

Meanwhile in 2012, Sophie appeared as herself on the news and magazine based show, ‘Big Brother's Bit on the Side.’ The show, which is about the famous UK reality series ‘Big Brother,’ is aired on ‘Channel 5.’

In April 2016, it was announced that Sophie Kasaei would return to the show ‘Geordie Shore,’ along with other initial cast members like Kyle Christie, Jay Gardner, James Tindale, Ricci Guarnaccio, and Daniel Thomas-Tuck. Sophie appeared briefly in the series’ 100th episode, ‘Big Birthday Battle.’

In the same year, Sophie appeared in another episode of the show’s 13th series. This particular series was shot in famous European party destinations like Magaluf, Kavos, and Ibiza.

In the following year, she appeared in a couple of television documentaries titled ‘When Reality TV Goes Horribly Wrong’ and ‘When Television Goes Horribly Wrong 2.’ She was also seen in the ‘MTV’ reality show ‘Just Tattoo of Us.’

Over the past few years, Sophie has become an internet sensation. She has accumulated more than 1.8 million followers on her Instagram account and more than 950,000 followers on her Twitter account. She has also appeared on many YouTube videos posted by popular brands, such as ‘MTV International’ and ‘All 4.’

Sophie owns a boutique called ‘Off the Rails.’ The store is at Sheffield and sells clothes, shoes, handbags, and other accessories. She is also one of the partners of the famous beauty products brand, ‘Motives Cosmetics.’

Controversy

While Sophie became famous after appearing in the show ‘Geordie Shore,’ she became even more famous after being axed from the show in July 2013. The makers were forced to eliminate her from the show when she showcased offensive behavior. Sophie and two other stars, namely Holly Hagan and Vicky Pattison were involved in a controversy, for which both Holly and Vicky were arrested.

Sophie has a younger brother named Leon, who is currently working as a DJ. She is close to her cousin sister Marnie Simpson, who is also a famous TV personality.

Sophie was in a relationship with the famous producer and record label owner, Joel Corry. After being together for six years, Joel broke up with Sophie over personal differences. Sophie later revealed in an interview that Joel broke up with her over the phone. She even said that she felt lost and lonely post the break-up.

To her credit, Sophie did not go into her shell when Joel broke up with her. Instead, she started hogging the limelight by giving interviews about her ex-boyfriend. She also started focusing on her physical fitness and lost quite a few pounds as well.

On December 27, 2017, Sophie was threatened with a screwdriver by a man named Ryan Larson, who had forced his way into her home. Ryan entered her home forcefully and threatened to stab her. When Sophie managed to get out of his clutches, Ryan escaped the premises, only to be caught the next day by the cops.
