Shayne was born on October 10, 1994, in Los Angeles, California. She grew up in Englewood, New Jersey. She is the third-born child of popular actor and comedian Eddie Murphy and his former wife, fashion model, TV personality, and designer Nicole Mitchell-Murphy. Shayne is the younger sister of actor Bria. Her other siblings are Bella, Zola, and Miles. Shayne has two elder half-brothers, Eric and Christian, children of Eddie and his former girlfriends, Paulette McNeely and Tamara Hood, respectively.

Shayne’s parents were married for over a decade before they got divorced due to irreconcilable differences. Eddie and Nicole filed for divorce in August 2005. It was finalized on April 17, 2006. Following this, Eddie dated former 'Spice Girl' Melanie Brown. The relationship resulted in the birth of Shayne’s first younger half-sister, Angel Iris. Eddie later dated model Paige Butcher and fathered a daughter named Izzy and a son named Max Charles.

Shayne graduated high school from 'Wildwood School' in Los Angeles. She then studied English literature at 'Loyola Marymount University.'

Career

Shayne always displayed a keen interest in modeling. Following in the footsteps of her mother and her sister Bria, she too decided to make a career in the field of modeling. However, she is now at a nascent stage of her career and has a long way to go.

Shayne was discovered by Bria’s manager, Jerome Martine. Jerome met Shayne in January 2011, during an event where Bria was announced as the global ambassador for 'Dark and Lovely' hair care products. Jerome was highly impressed by Shayne’s exotic beauty and charming personality. Noticing her confidence, Jerome even predicted her successful career in fashion and entertainment.

Currently, Shayne is busy making her way in the fashion industry. In 2014, she and Bria did a fashion photo-shoot for North Hollywood-based photographer iamEpic. In 2014, Shayne made her TV debut. She appeared in eight episodes of the series 'Hollywood Exes.' Bria and Nicole also joined her on the show. Shayne is active on 'Instagram,' where she often posts her captivating pictures.
