Ricky ‘Horror’ Olson is the member of the American metal band, ‘Motionless in White’. He joined the band as a guitarist and backup vocalist in 2009. He became the permanent member of the band after Frank Polumbo’s exit. He decided to switch from bass to rhythm guitar once T.J. Bell left the group in 2011. The band released its debut album ‘Creatures’ in 2010. Since this first album, they’ve made a huge impact in the music scene and captured the attention of metal fans. Ricky started touring with his band along with other big names such as Asking Alexandria, Black Veil Brides, and A Skylit Drive. The band has since released three other albums, all of which were commercially successful and critically praised. He continues to tour along with the band. He also has a debut short story collection titled ‘Gloom’ that was published by North Lake Press. He also writes articles and blog posts frequently, which are published in different websites. Career
Ricky Horror is currently in the core line up of the successful metal band, ‘Motionless in White’. His tattoos, piercings, and eyeliner coupled with the haunting music style he cultivated made him a perfect fit for this hardcore metal band. He joined Motionless in White as a guitarist and backup vocalist in 2009. The band released its first album ‘Creatures’ in 2009. Their debut was both a critical and commercial success. They soon became one of the most followed bands in the heavy music genre. When T.J. Bell left the band in 2011, Olson would transition from bass to rhythm guitar.
The band’s second album titled ‘Infamous’ was released in 2012. The album entered the mainstream charts and Ricky started touring in the United States and Australia. The third album ‘Reincarnate’ was released in 2014 and this, like their previous albums, was immensely successful. The band continued touring and most of their shows were sold out. The band’s latest album ‘Graveyard Shift’ was released in 2017 under the label Roadrunner Records. This was their first album under a major record and it soon got listed in various charts. The album debuted at 27 on the Billboard 200. Ricky Horror is currently on a ‘Graveyard Shift’ tour around the world. He is constantly in touch with his fans and reaches out to them through social media.
Apart from music, he is active in other arenas too. He has a book lined up for release in August 2018. This is a debut short story collection, published by North Lake Press, and comprises different fantasy stories coupled with horror elements. He also started the artisan company, Scentiques Candle, along with his girlfriend Jaime Levitski. The company has candle-based store that operates in Pennsylvania and ships internationally. He is active on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Goodreads. His Instagram feed is dotted with beautiful photographs that he clicks every day and has over 184k followers.

On his sister’s seventeenth birthday, he attempted suicide. He decided to quit drinking after this incident. He also suffered from a bout of depression and constantly wrote about it. Since then, he has actively spoken about mental illness and depression.
