Jay began his career by participating in the second season of 'La Banda,' a Spanish-language singing competition. The second season of the series premiered on September 11, 2016. The same year, he ventured into the social-media arena. He launched his self-titled 'YouTube' channel, too. However, he began posting videos in 2018. Jay’s first original song, 'Manos Al Aire,' was released on June 28, 2018, and is available on the channel.

In 2018, Jay made his acting debut with the ‘Brat’ original ‘YouTube’ series 'Chicken Girls.' He played the character named ‘Drake’ in 11 episodes of this series. With this, Jay began his association with 'Brat.' He later played the role of ‘Drake’ in 'Holiday Spectacular.' He was also seen as a guest on 'Brat’s' show 'Brat Chat.'

Jay became active on his 'YouTube' channel quite late. Thus, he does not have too many subscribers on the platform. The channel has a series titled 'Just Jay,' which chronicles Jay’s travel experiences. He is more active on 'Instagram,' where his posts have earned him more than 277 thousand followers.
