Reggie Lee is a Filipino-American actor known for starring in the TV series ‘Prison Break’ and ‘Grimm’. Also active in films, he is recognized for his contribution to the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ film franchise. Born in Quezon City, Philippines, Lee moved to Cleveland, Ohio at the young age of five. He attended Padua Franciscan High School in Parma. He got associated with theatre while still a student, initially working with the Cassidy Theatre (then Greenbrier Theatre) and Cleveland Play House. He was so passionate about pursuing acting as a career that he went against his parents’ wish who wanted him to be a doctor. Although accepted to Harvard, Lee eventually moved to Los Angeles to become an actor. In 1992, at the age of 17, he began his professional acting career. Since then, he has attained much acclaim for his work on television as well as on the big screen. The multi-talented personality is also a musician and a comic book artist.

Career
Reggie Lee started his career in 1992, when he joined a national tour of the musical ‘Miss Saigon.’ Two years later, he featured in the Broadway revival of ‘Carousel’. His television debut came in 1996, with an episode of ‘Diagnosis: Murder’. The following year, he earned a Drama-Logue Award for his stunning performance in ‘F.O.B.’ at East West Players. During 1998 and 1999, Lee had guest roles in many drama series, including 'Babylon 5', 'ER', 'Mad About You', 'Beverly Hills, 90210' and 'Sons of Thunder'.
The actor commenced the new millennium with a role in the horror film ‘Psycho Beach Party’ which didn’t do well commercially. In 2001, he appeared in the series ‘Judging Amy’ and ‘The Division’. This was followed by his role as Zhing Zhang in the sitcom ‘Luis’. In 2006, Lee was cast in the fantasy swashbuckler film ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest’ as Hadras. Also, that year, his television career escalated when he began playing William Kim on Fox’s drama ‘Prison Break’. The year 2007 saw Lee in the third installment of the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ series, titled ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End’.
Following a role in the sci-fi film ‘Star Trek’ in 2009, Lee featured in the television dramas ‘No Ordinary Family’ and ‘Persons Unknown’. In 2011, his television career reached further heights when he was cast in the drama ‘Grimm’ as Sgt. Drew Wu. A year later, the actor starred in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, Christopher Nolan's superhero film based on the DC Comics character Batman.
From 2017 to 2019, Lee had roles in various TV shows, such as ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’, ‘LA to Vegas’, ‘NCIS: New Orleans’, and ‘Fresh Off the Boat’, to name a few.

Reggie Lee was born as Reggie Telmo Valdez on October 4, 1975, in Quezon City, Philippines, to Jesus Espiritu Valdez and Zenaida Telmo. He has two younger brothers, Nathan and R.V. He attended Padua Franciscan High School in Parma.
Lee likes to start his day with meditation. He is fluent in Tagalog and English.
