Park Ji-min, also known as Jamie Park or Jimin Park, is a singer, songwriter, and television presenter from South Korea. She is best known as a member of the girl duo 15& and the Season 1 winner of the reality singing competition ‘K-pop Star.’ Her popular songs include covers of ‘Rolling in the Deep’ and ‘Over The Rainbow’. Besides being a pop singer, the young lady is also a television presenter and had been featured in a number of TV shows, such as ‘After School Club’, ‘Strong Heart’ and ‘Night Line’, to name a few. She has done several radio programs as well. Despite being so successful at a young age, Park Ji-min is a down-to-earth personality in real life. The South Korean star is known for her philanthropic nature. She once gave around $45,000 to a performing arts association for visually-impaired musicians. This is another major reason for which Park Ji-min is loved by hundreds of thousands of people all over the world.

Career
Park Ji-min participated in the reality singing competition ‘K-pop Star’ in the year 2011 and emerged as the winner of the show. After this, she was given the opportunity of signing with SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment or YG Entertainment. Park Ji-min chose JYP Entertainment. The following year, Park Ji-min reported that she and fellow teen singer Baek Yerin will debut together as a duo and on October 5 of the same year, the duo’s first music video titled ‘I Dream’ was released on YouTube. Around this time, the two pop singers also shared the stage for the same song on ‘Inkigayo,’ a musical TV show. After this, the young South Korean star became a part of TV show ‘After School Club’ as its co-host in 2014.
In 2015, it was revealed that Ji-min will soon make her debut as a solo artist. She performed her solo single ‘Hopeless Love’ on the stage of ‘K-pop Star 4.’ The same year, the pop singer’s duet ‘Dream’ (with Eric Nam) was released for a charity project. In August 2015, Ji-min became a part of a group with rapper Nathan and Seungyoun of UNIQ. Their group was named M.O.L.A (Make Our Life Awesome) and its first song ‘My Way’ was released on August 20 followed by the second track ‘Trick or Treat’ on October 31. The following year, Ji-min’s first self-composed mini album titled ‘19 to 20’ was launched and its title song called ‘Try’ was released on 23 August 2016.

Park Ji-min was born on 5 July 1997 in Daejeon, South Korea. After living in Thailand for seven years, she moved to Bangkok, and there she attended Garden International School. After this, she studied at Hanlim School of Performing Arts and graduated from there in the year 2016. We have to mention that Ji-min is known for her benevolent nature. In 2012, she donated 50 million won (approx. $45,000 USD) to Hanbit Performing Arts Company. Apart from this, she donated 50 million won to World Vision as well.
