If you are a person who is into a lot of makeup, beauty, fashion and lifestyle stuff, Meg DeAngelis is the person you go to. Or more precisely her YouTube channel, MayBaby which is one of the most popular YouTube channels out there with over 5.5 million followers. Meg was always heavily inclined towards YouTube and was very fond of making and recording videos. Ultimately, she ended up joining YouTube in 2008. Since she was a competitive cheerleader, her very first video was of her doing a back handspring at the age of 12. Her video was liked by hundreds of people and within a week she had over 500 subscribers. This made her happy and motivated her to grow more. DeAngelis is among a generation of teen YouTube stars who largely grew up on the service, offering an up-close and personal look into her life to millions of subscribers. She is being compared to reality stars, but unlike the shows that have taken over TV, where what makes the cut is up to a group of editors or the people producing the show and things may be taken out of context or played for the sake of drama, everything on her YouTube channel is up to her completely.
The Meteoric Rise to Stardom
After uploading her first video on YouTube, DeAngelis got a lot of positive response and popularity. Initially, she only did it for herself. While she watched other tutorials online, she never actually thought that people would watch hers, which were more a means of getting better at gymnastics. But the more her flips took over that section of YouTube, the more her growing fanbase wanted to learn. She offered a few anecdotes about her life in videos, almost as an aside, like mentioning that she’d just come home from school before she started rolling, making a quick comment on how she looked and more. However, after visiting a friend in Los Angeles and discovering the YouTube community there, she dropped out of college and moved across the country to try and make it as a professional YouTuber. What was once a cheerleader's video diary has become a polished hub of all things girlish: there are life-hack tutorials, decorating ideas, and comedy sketches about what it's like to be a girl. DeAngelis is also signed with the multi-channel network Awesomeness TV, and, like other lifestyle YouTubers before her, she has started designing for an AwesomenessTV clothing line. DeAngelis gets paid through Google AdSense and makes enough money from YouTube to pay her rent and fund her productions. Not just fashion, she has now branched out to DIY videos which have gained immense popularity especially among girls because of how simple the projects are.

Behind The Curtains
Meg DeAngelis was born in Toronto, Canada. After a few years she moved to Germany with her family and settled down there. More recently she moved to Florida to be a part of the University of Central Florida cheerleading team. However, Megan realized that being a full-time student at UCF and devoting all of her time to cheerleading would mean that she wouldn't be able to continue with her channels. So finally she moved to Los Angeles where she is focusing on doing what she loves. Both her parents are engineers and she also has a twin sister, Ashley. She was dating fellow YouTuber, Alex Aiono who featured in a lot of her videos, but the couple broke up after dating for two months.
She is a former junior gymnastics teacher.
