Kevin Dillon is a well-known American actor. In his earlier films, he mostly played the role of bad boys and tough guys , and was especially recognized for his role of Ed Rooney in the film ‘Heaven Help Us’. Kevin, a young boy with huge passion for acting, got the biggest opportunity of his lifetime to debut in the role of Arnold Norberry in the 1983 Television movie ‘No Big Deal’. He rose to further acclaim with his performances in films like the Oliver Stone war movie ‘Platoon’ where he played the role of Bunny, ‘The Blob’ as Briann Flagg, ‘No Escape’ as Casey, ‘War Party’ as Skitty Harris and several others. Kevin is most famous for his hilarious portrayal of Johnny ‘Drama’ Chase in the American drama HBO Television hit comedy series titled ‘Entourage’ for which he received three Emmy Awards nominations (2007, 2008 and 2009), three SAG awards nominations and one Golden Globe Awards nomination (2008). He was nominated for ‘Young Artist Award for Best Young Supporting Actor-motion picture with veteran stars like James Woods, Glen Close, and Mary Stuart Masterson for the film ‘Immediate Family’.

Childhood & Early Life
Kevin Brady Dillon was born on 19th August 1965 in New Rochelle, New York, to Paul Dillon and mother Mary Ellen Dillon. His father is a portrait painter, sales manager and golf coach at Fordham University while his mother is a homemaker. Kevin grew up in Mamaroneck, New York, USA.
His father is not only an avid golfer but also a well-known artist whose portraits of Arnold Palmer, Bobby Jones and others are hung in the famed Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, New York.
Kevin was raised in an upper middle class family with his five siblings, including elder brother Matt Dillon who is an actor and Paul Dillon.
He received his formal education from Mamaroneck (NY) High School. While he was studying there, he became deeply interested in acting. He also attended School of Visual Arts, New York, United States.
The creator of Flash Gordon comic series and cartoonist, Alex Raymond, was his great uncle.

Acting Career
Dillon started to perform in films as well as Television in the 1980s. He was discovered by an agent in his elder brother Matt’s 1982 film 'Tex Party' and from then on, he landed a succession of several conspicuous side roles usually playing the role of a bully and controlling teenager especially in films like ‘Heaven Help Us’, as a foul mouthed prankster Ed Rooney and in Platoon as a trigger-happy psychopathic soldier Bunny. He studied for this role by reading ‘Run Through the Raindrops’ novel written by Captain Dale Dye. All these films made him popular.
Kevin gained a lot of attention when he starred in the cult classic ‘The Blob’ as Briann Flagg and he further got nominated as ‘Young Artist Award’ for ‘Best Young Supporting Actor’ category for the poignant film ‘Immediate Family’ as Sam.
Dillon has performed in films like ‘Delta Force’ as Delta Force Member, documentary film titled ‘Dear America –Letter’s Home from Vietnam' as Jack, ‘Remote Control’ as Cosmo, ‘War Party’ as Skitty Harris. He was again nominated as ‘Young Artist Award for Best Young Actor’ –motion picture drama for his acting as J.J. Merrill in the film ‘The Rescue’.
He next featured in several films including ‘Stag’ as Dan Kane, ‘Misbegotten’ as Billy Crapshoot’, ‘Medusa’s Child’ as Jerry Carnet, ‘Vampire’s: Out for Blood’ as Hank Holten which were moderately successful. In 2006 Dillon starred opposite veterans like Kurt Russell and Richard Dreyfus in Wolfgang Peterson’s film ‘Poseidon’, Warner Brothers productions and also starred opposite Lisa Kudrow, Don Cheadle in the Dreamworks production ‘Hotel For Dogs’ in 2009.
Dillon gave his voice as Old Jake in the 3 D computer animated sports comedy adventure film titled ‘Underdogs’ in 2015.
Kevin has also acted in several Television series like the American horror anthology series ‘Tales from the Crypt’ as Les Wilton (1993), police procedural drama ‘Blue Bloods’ as Jimmy O’shea (2017), adult animated series ‘Trip Tank’ as Frankie/ Vinny/H (2015-2016) and several others.
Dillon has been praised for his performance in ‘That’s Life’ for CBS as Paul De Lucca (2000-2002) and recurring roles in NYPD Blue as Officer Neil Baker (1998-2002) as well as Lonnie Mc Ray in ‘24’. His work as the pompous, insecure and egocentric portrayal of Johnny Chase in ‘Entourage’ fetched him 6 nominations in various award categories including Emmy.
Personal Life
He became father for the first time in 1991 from a romantic love affair with a woman about whom he has never disclosed. His first daughter’s name is Amy Dillon.
Later, he married his girlfriend, Mary Jane Stuart, on 21st of April, 2006. Mary is an actress and a popular fashion model. Within a month of their marriage they were blessed with a daughter named Ava Dillon. They are now divorced and Kevin pays $10K a month as spousal support.
