Lisa Kennedy Montgomery is an American TV show host, political commentator, radio personality, and former MTV VJ. A multitalented person, she is also a published author and has hosted the show ‘Kennedy’ on ‘Fox Business Network.’ She is commonly known as “Kennedy.” Born in Indiana, she was raised in Oregon. She completed her graduation from the ‘University of California, Los Angeles’ (UCLA). After her internship at a Los Angeles radio station, she worked as a VJ on ‘MTV’ and hosted the late-night show ‘Alternative Nation.’ After working for a few years as a host of a radio show in Seattle, Kennedy presented various morning shows on ‘Comedy World Radio Network.’ She then presented shows on ‘Game Show Network.’ She joined ‘Fox Business Network’ as a contributor and hosted ‘Kennedy,’ her own show about current issues. She also hosted shows such as ‘Reality Remix,’ ‘Outnumbered,’ and ‘The Five’ on various ‘Fox Channels.’ With a number of radio talk shows and TV shows to her credit, she has been recognized as one of the most brilliant and versatile hosts in the world. This registered ‘Republican’ and libertarian is also an author of two books. Kennedy is married to former professional snowboarder Dave Lee and is a mother of two daughters.

Childhood & Early Life
Kennedy was born on September 8, 1972, in Indianapolis, Indiana, and grew up in the Lake Oswego region of Oregon. She and her two brothers were raised by her mother. She is of half-Romanian and half-Scottish descent. Kennedy studied at the ‘Lakeridge High School’ and later acquired a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the ‘UCLA.’

Career
Kennedy began her career as an intern at the Los Angeles radio station ‘KROQ-FM.’ Following the internship, she joined ‘MTV’ as a VJ during the 1990s. She hosted the ‘MTV’ show ‘120 Minutes,’ which was a late-night alternative rock show. From 1992 to 1997, she was the host of the late-night MTV show ‘Alternative Nation.’ She presented the ‘MTV’ special ‘How-To with Kennedy’ and was also the ‘MTV’ news correspondent for the ‘Grammy Awards’ and ‘Video Music Awards.’
When the game show ‘Hollywood Squares’ was revived in 1998, Kennedy participated in it as a panelist. From 1999 to 2001, she worked in Seattle as a host for ‘The Buzz,’ a show about current and local events and comedy, on ‘KQBZ.’
Following this, she moved to the ‘Comedy World Radio Network’ in 2001. Along with co-host Ahmet Zappa, she presented the morning radio show ‘The Future with Ahmet and Kennedy.’ This show was similar to her previous show (‘The Buzz’). Along with co-host Malibu Dan, she hosted the morning show ‘The Big House’ on the same network. This was her last show for the network, as the network went off the air after that.
From June 2002, she was the host on the ‘Game Show Network’ (GSN)’ show ‘Friend or Foe?’ for two seasons. She was also a guest host on the ‘GSN’ game show ‘WinTuition.’ In 2003, she hosted the show ‘Who Wants to Be Governor of California?’ for the same network. She was the host of the night-time political talk show on ‘KFI AM640’ in Lost Angeles. She was a co-host of the show ‘Kennedy and Suits’ (April 2008 to September 2009) with Bryan Suits, on the same station.
From 2005 to 2008, Kennedy conducted an everyday news and reality talk show called ‘Reality Remix’ on the ‘Fox Reality Channel.’ Kennedy hosted a music program called ‘Music in the Mornings’ on the Los Angeles-based station ‘KYSR.’ It ran from 2009 to March 2014. For a brief period in 2011, she worked as an assistant for the ‘Discovery Channel’ show ‘PitchMen.’
In 2012, Kennedy joined ‘Fox Business Network’ as a contributor. She often appeared as a panelist on the ‘Fox News Channel’ programs ‘Outnumbered’ and ‘The Five.’ From December 2013 to January 2015, she was a co-host of the ‘Fox Business Network’ show ‘The Independents.’ It was a libertarian-focused political discussion show, which ended in 2015.
Following this, Kennedy hosted her own primetime show, ‘Kennedy.’ The show dealt with current issues in politics, business, and culture. No topic was barred from the show, and she presented her sharp commentary on the latest matters. She has also worked as a contributor on ‘Reason TV.’
Books
Kennedy has authored two books. Her first book, ‘Hey Ladies! Tales and Tips for Curious Girls,’ was published in 1999. She has related her own life experiences in it. Her second book, ‘The Kennedy Chronicles: The Golden Age of MTV through Rose-Colored Glasses,’ was released in 2013.

Kennedy is a registered ‘Republican’ and a libertarian. She thus prefers calling herself a “Republitarian.” She has strong opinions about many social issues. She supports same-sex marriage and privatization of social security, while she opposes bureaucratic regulation and the “war on drugs.” She supported Gary Johnson during his presidential campaigns.

Earlier, Kennedy was in a relationship with musician John Rzeznik, the founding member and frontman of the band ‘Goo Goo Dolls.’ In May, 2000, Kennedy got married to former snowboarder David Michael Lee. The couple has two daughters, Pele and Lotus. They stay in New York.
