She also owns Forever Fragrant, a line of odor neutralizers including scent stands, sticks, and wickless candles. She is also the founder of Comfort & Joy Textiles that is popular for bedding stuff made from Supima cotton. Mangano, who was once the owner of Ingenious Designs, regularly appears on the nation’s shopping channel HSN. She once also made a guest appearance on ABC’s ‘The View’ and was a judge on the reality show ‘Made in the USA’. Talking about her further achievements, Mangano is HSN's most successful vendor, with annual sales of over $150 million. She was once named ‘Long Island Entrepreneur of the Year’. Her other awards and accolades include her listing in ‘The 10 Most Creative Women in Business’ list as well as in Fast Company's catalogue of ‘The 100 Most Creative People in Business’. Mangano released her autobiography titled ‘Inventing Joy’ in 2017. She was also the main subject of the flick ‘Joy’.

In 1990, Joy Mangano came out with her first invention, the Miracle Mop. This self-wringing plastic mop can be easily squeezed out without making the users’ hands wet. She eventually started her own company, Ingenious Designs, which she later sold off to USA Networks. By the year 2000, Mangano’s company was selling about $10 million worth of Miracle Mops every year.
