Jeff Wittek initially ran a Tumblr blog under the name ‘BehindTheCuts.’ He then created an account on Vine and started to post entertaining videos under the persona ‘American Jeff.’ During this time, he got the chance to collaborate with a number of popular Viners including Christian DelGrosso, Rudy Mancuso and Anwar Jibawi. In 2011, Wittek created a self-titled account on YouTube and began to upload acting sessions, hair style videos and personal life entries. Also that month, he published a makeover video titled ‘Homeless Man Makeover Amazing Transformation ‘heart warming'. In this vlog, Wittek gave an attractive makeover to a homeless man and won millions of hearts with his work and kind gesture. As of February 2019, this video is the most-watched on his channel, having around 2 million views. Besides YouTube, Wittek is a famous personality on Instagram as well, with several thousands of followers on the social platform.

The American hairstylist cum vlogger is also an actor by profession. In 2016, he starred in a short movie titled ‘Declined Credit Card’ alongside his friend Anwar Jibawi. That year, he also appeared in another short film called ‘Crazy Drug Lord’ that also featured Jibawi. In 2017, Wittek starred alongside his girlfriend Cierra Ramirez in the short movie 'Petting Scorpions'.
