Career

Following her divorce from Kimmel, Gina Maddy Kimmel travelled for a bit and eventually made her way to Chicago. Gina got herself trained in costume designing and she found herself gravitating towards vintage-style clothing. She served as a costume designer on the television films ‘Party Like the Rich and Famous’ and ‘Party Like the Queen of France’. She made cameo appearances in them as well. Both films premiered in 2012.

In early 2014, she set up the apparel company Maddy James to make and sell her vintage inspired loungewear line. She started a Kickstarter campaign in order to raise $15,000. After the money was raised, she initially sold the products on Etsy. The company has since grown enough to sell their merchandise through their own website.

Personal Life

Gina Maddy was born on December 13, 1964 in Hoffman Estates, a village in Illinois, United States. Little information is available on her family background and childhood. She attended Northern Illinois University from 1983 to 1985 and went on to enrol at Arizona State University, from where she graduated in 1988. She met Kimmel during her time at Arizona. Kimmel attended Arizona for two years but left before graduation.

The young couple got married on June 25, 1988 and moved to Seattle, Washington, where Kimmel landed a job as the co-host of ‘The Me and Him Show’ at KZOK-FM alongside Kent Voss.

In 1991, Gina and Kimmel welcomed their first child, a daughter they named Katie. Bright and creative, she would grow up to be a fashion designer just like her mother. Their son, Kevin, was born on September 19, 1993. He is involved in the entertainment industry just like his parents. He is an actor and a miscellaneous crew member.

During this period, Kimmel held several jobs as a radio host. He worked at WRBQ-FM in Tampa, Florida, KCMJ in Palm Springs, and morning stint at KRQQ in Tucson, Arizona, before moving to Los Angeles, where he started working for KROQ-FM. He spent the next five years there, reporting as "Jimmy the Sports Guy" for the ‘Kevin and Bean’ morning show. Gina, his children, and some members of his extended family always travelled with him, as since the beginning, Kimmel has preferred to use relatives and friends in his comedy skits.

In 1997, four years after his son was born, Kimmel began his television career on Comedy Central’s game show ‘Win Ben Stein's Money’. The show was a success and earned him and Stein the Emmy Award for Best Game Show Host. He began co-hosting ‘The Man Show’ on Comedy Central with Adam Carolla in 1999. Gina, Katie, and Kevin appeared on the show, as did Kimmel’s other relatives.

The couple decided to separate in 2002. The divorce was finalised on June 16, 2003. Gina is presently dating a man named Chris Jones. She has an active Instagram account where she often posts pictures of them together.
