Frank Grillo is an Italian American actor popularly known for portraying macho roles in movies like ‘Warrior’ and ‘Zero Dark Thirty’. He has also featured in some important character roles in films like ‘The Grey’, and ‘End of Watch’. Beginning his career by appearing in commercials, he ventured into films and played quite a few minor roles before clinching his first major role in 2014 when he played the character of ‘Sergeant Leo Barnes’ in the action film ‘The Purge: Anarchy’. Later he appeared in the Chinese action film ‘Wolf Warrior 2’ which became the highest-grossing non-Hollywood film in the history of cinema. Frank Grillo has also appeared in many television series after making his television debut in ‘Silk Stalkings’, appearing in the episode ‘Ladies Night Out’. Childhood & Early Life
Frank Anthony Grillo was born in New York City, New York on June 8, 1965, to a family of Italian heritage. He has two younger siblings.
Grillo graduated from the New York University with a degree in business and then spent a year working in the Wall Street. He later got an opportunity to appear in a commercial for ‘Miller Genuine Draft’ beer and proceeded to pursue a career in the show business.

Good-looking and talented, he ventured into acting and made his film debut in 1992 in a film titled ‘The Mambo Kings’. Later he appeared in films like ‘Deadly Rivals’ and ‘Deadly Charades’ before getting a role in ‘Minority Report’ in 2002.

After his divorce from Kathy, they moved in together in the same year and later in October 2000, they got married. Together they have two sons; the elder, Liam, was born in 2004 and the younger, Rio, was born in 2008.
This actor acted under very challenging weather conditions for the shooting of ‘The Grey’ where the temperature was below minus 20 degrees.
