Bronx’s parents, Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson, met for the first time at the 'MTV Video Music Awards' ceremony in 2006. They began dating each other soon after and got engaged in April 2008. They announced their wedding a month after the engagement. They walked the aisle on May 17, 2008. However, they had kept their relationship a secret until their marriage. Bronx Mowgli Wentz was born on November 20, 2008, in the US. His middle name is inspired by the lead character of ‘The Jungle Book.’ The reason behind the name was that Pete and Ashlee had bonded over the book. They thus decided to name their son “Mowgli.” His parents are also huge 'Disney' fans. Pete and Ashlee have incorporated 'Disney' into all their life events. The theme of Ashlee’s baby shower ceremony was the 'Disney' cartoon 'Winnie the Pooh,' while the theme of their wedding reception was ‘Alice in Wonderland.’

After 3 years of being married, Pete and Ashlee decided to end their relationship in February 2011. Their divorce was legally finalized on November 22, 2011. In 2013, Pete demanded Bronx’s custody. The reason he cited for his demand was Ashlee’s busy schedule and her irresponsible attitude toward Bronx. Pete claimed that his former wife was getting busy with her own life and was more interested in attending parties. He even threatened Ashlee’s mother that he would demand Bronx’s full custody if she did not control her irresponsible behavior. However, Pete and Ashlee now share Bronx’s custody.

Pete is now in a relationship with model Meagan Camper. In August 2014, Pete and Meagan welcomed their first child, Saint Lazslo, and in May 2018, their second child, Marvel Jane, was born.
