Andy Cowleyis a British voice actor,YouTube gamer and Twitch streamer who goes by the online alias 'TheDragonHat' and posts family friendly videos on his channel. He does voice over for video games, 2D and 3D animated videos, TV shows, internet applications, and more. In his relatively short career so far, he has already worked on a number of video games and animations. He voiced the bosses Phobos andDeimos in the indie video game 'Apotheon' by Alientrap Games. He voiced the main male protagonist in another indie game, 'Hazewalker', by Theoryform Games. He also did voice acting for a fighting character in the Dlala Studios game 'Overruled', narrated the trailer of the game 'Rainbow Hero' by Pixel Elephant, and voiced Garen in the solo queue mode for 'League of Legends Machinima'. In the 3D 'Terraria: Animated Series', he voiced the characters of 'Slimey', 'Slimes', and 'Slime King'. He also did the voice over for 'Music Copyright Watermark' for Deepsky Records. He has voiced many characters from the role-play series 'Minecraft Diaries' by YouTuberAphmau, including Garroth, Chad and Jeffory. Some of his recent work include 'Meet Overwatch', 'Legend of Nine Tails', 'Pokemon Logic' and 'Zoolaplex'.
- While studying special effects in school, Andy Cowley focused primarily on 3D graphics. He was fascinated with the incredible possibilities of acting and began doing impressions based on the character Stitch from the animate show 'Lilo& Stitch'. He started his YouTube channel,'TheDragonHat', on October 10, 2011 and posted his first video, 'DragonHat Commentary - The Polynomial: Space of the music', four days later.He had started out as a YouTube gamer and commentator, playing games like 'Minecraft' and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim'. He then started reviewing games, and eventually began uploading his work.The adventures of two of his characters, Pip and Twitch, became extremely popular with his fans.In September 2015, he started a new series on his YouTube channel called 'My Face', in which he essentially posted vlog type videos in order to connect with fans and update them on his life.He bagged a partnership with Twitch.tv in mid-2016, which he revealed to his YouTube fans in a video on July 3, stating that his streams will specifically be on Twitch in the future as he cannot post streams on any other platform due to the deal. He has managed to gain over 12k followers on Twitch, apart from his 242k YouTube subscribers. He has his own merchandise, which he announced in a vlog video on July 13, 2016, and made available to fans both in the US and the UK via Teespring for a few weeks. He also offers T-shirts via TeePublic.In July 2016, he announced his plan to collaborate with other voice actors for more exposure and revealedthat he and his fiancée Amy will be 'kind of' merging their channels.
